usa sucks
6/22/2006 11:59:21 AM
yeah theres gotta be a clock
6/22/2006 11:59:43 AM
hahahah ghana had to do WHAT so there would be enough electricity for them to watch the games???
6/22/2006 12:00:33 PM
No, the referee keeps the time. The only real clock is on his wrist. The game ends when the referee blows his whistle three times.
6/22/2006 12:00:38 PM
6/22/2006 12:01:13 PM
Wynalda pretty much said Arena blows..
6/22/2006 12:01:23 PM
it's all over but the crying
6/22/2006 12:01:46 PM
I agree Arena was pretty bad in this World Cup but it shouldnt be solely on him.. the players didnt play with the effort they should have.. and the refs blew
6/22/2006 12:02:11 PM
6/22/2006 12:02:13 PM
anyone else tired of that fucking commercial with the song "if you dont give my football back im gonna get my dad on you" with the little kids playing soccer with the stars?

6/22/2006 12:04:48 PM
HEY LOOK I'M SO COOL BECAUSE I HATE THE MOST POPULAR SPORT ON THE PLANET
6/22/2006 12:08:31 PM
Looking at the penalty again, this guy could rival the ref from the Italy game for the Uriah Rennie Poor Officiating Trophy.
6/22/2006 12:09:34 PM
i might like it a little more if the "flow" of every game werent fucked up by a penalty
6/22/2006 12:10:31 PM
Perhaps you should watch more games, then. Particularly English ones. Tons of flow.[Edited on June 22, 2006 at 12:12 PM. Reason : ddd]
6/22/2006 12:11:48 PM
why would i want to watch more games?its fucking boring. they kick back and forth until someone trips the other guy and accidentally scores a goal
6/22/2006 12:12:32 PM
ok im kiddingi would totally watch soccer all the time if we could get RONALDINHO
6/22/2006 12:13:50 PM
i see claudio reyna retiring, if he doesnt, then he's just prolonging a waste of a player on the roster.
6/22/2006 12:14:20 PM
is reyna the guy that faked injury when ghana scored their 2nd goal right before half?
6/22/2006 12:15:16 PM
I think one of the games the commentator said that some MLS team offered like a gajillion $texas for Ronaldinho and he was like "yeah, right"
6/22/2006 12:15:36 PM
reyna is the guy that gave up the first goal
6/22/2006 12:15:44 PM
who was the captain guy that got carried off on a stretcher after that goal.actually it was the first goal
6/22/2006 12:16:35 PM
^^^I think that was Ronaldo.. he was rumored to have interest and someone made a huge offer and he turned it down[Edited on June 22, 2006 at 12:16 PM. Reason : a]
6/22/2006 12:16:37 PM
That's Manchester City's Claudio Reyna to you.
6/22/2006 12:18:07 PM
just like a City player to be awful
6/22/2006 12:18:36 PM
he's the one that faked an injury right? like the guy beat him, took the ball and scored, so homeboy pretended he got hurt so he wouldnt look so bad[Edited on June 22, 2006 at 12:19 PM. Reason : .]

6/22/2006 12:19:50 PM
^^^^^I've also heard that Ronaldo said that he will play in the states one day, and I think the commentators said something about some other big name European player coming to the MLS in two years (Beckham maybe?) even though I dont see that happening[Edited on June 22, 2006 at 12:20 PM. Reason : asdf]
6/22/2006 12:20:15 PM
DURRRRRR
6/22/2006 12:20:44 PM
^^Yeah and it was the NY Red Bulls who made the offer, forgot how much money though.. and yea Beckham has showed interest, but it will be when both of these players are well past their prime(if they arent already) and when their teams in Europe dont want them anymore.. will bring in alot of money though[Edited on June 22, 2006 at 12:22 PM. Reason : a]
6/22/2006 12:22:29 PM
no big name players will come play in america until the MLS loses its ridiculous 2.5 million dollar salary capeither that, or they get too old and decrepit to play in Europe

Flyin Ryan... why are you so quick to defend the horrible officiating in this World Cup? And I'm not just talking about the US game. All across the board, officiating has been bad.Called either way? You are probably one of the few people to think that, it was obviously a dive... and even if somehow there was a foul involved, it certainly wasn't enough to justify a game changing penalty kick in a group deciding game in the World Cup.
6/22/2006 3:05:30 PM
the goaltender for japan is having a career game vs brazil right now
6/22/2006 3:23:19 PM
^^ Cause I've watched most of the games the USA played in the last two years, and not in one single game did USA fans not b**** about the refs. If McBride had done what the Ghanaian player did, I'd've been perfectly fine if a penalty was called, as would you.I created a ref-bashing thread a few nights ago when watching the Stanley Cup finals. Go post about the refs in there. http://www.brentroad.com/message_topic.aspx?topic=415911&page=1#8927798[Edited on June 22, 2006 at 3:31 PM. Reason : ./]

6/22/2006 3:34:11 PM
6/22/2006 3:35:26 PM
ok, but you'd acknowledge it was shitty officiating, right?
