Haha yeah definitely houston, and playing a defense against the panthers worked two weekends ago sadly. But with Delhommes health in question I sorta want to play tampa.

the Panthers are consistently inconsistent...Tampa could hold them to 3 points all game or they could get lit up for 31, who knows

I believe earlier you said that you would be getting Reggie Brown and Brees for J-cotch?

If so, I would have to say go for it. You are in a 2 WR league and have more than enough at that position, even without Cotch. In Brees and Brown, you have two players who obviously havent reached their potential this season. If they do, that could be the steal of the year for you. If they dont, you are still set at the WR position and still have a great QB in Big Ben.

I say go for it!

OK, I'm really worried about Brian Westbrook. He has numerous ailments, and his status is still in question. My other starter is MBIII with McGahee on the bench. Since the Eagles don't play until 8:00, what do you think I should do? I guess I'll watch the shows to hear his progress, but I don't want to start Westbrook and then he doesn't play on Sunday night and vice-versa with him starting and I sit him.

Also, do you believe Buckhalter is a safe play?

^^^So far this year the offense has been consistent, putting up 27, 21, and 27.

^ That's as long as Delhomme is not injured. I guess he is nursing a bad elbow or something, last I heard.

Guru, who to start as my 3rd WR:

Jericho Cotchery @ BUF or
Darrell Jackson vs SEA

agreed.

He will have plenty of chances to score this week.

Cotch makes a solid play, as long as there are no injury concerns.

Bubba Franks, Donald Lee, Chris Baker, Desmond Clark are available. Do I pick them up over Eric Johnson who is a basic bust? I wanted to grab King but he was snagged before I could get him.

I don't value TEs outside the top 5 but they can be some additional bonus points.

pick 2:

*Travis Henry @ Indy
*Lamont Jordan @ Miami
Thomas Jones @ Buffalo

pick 3:

*Javon Walker @ Indy
*Deion Branch @ SF
*Devin Hester @ Detroit (we get 1 pt/20 retrun yards and 6 pt for return TDs)
Darrell Jackson vs. Seattle
James Jones @ Minn

* - current starter

thanks

Ya I'm thinking I might pick up Baker. Only problem is he doesn't get many yards. Lee is the second TE and Franks might be nursing a slight injury. Clark is a toss shoot since Olsen is likely to get some looks too.

Trade Offer:

I Get:

D. Driver, L. Jordan, A. Peterson (MIN)

I Give Up:

C. Johnson, B. Berrian, F. Taylor

I'm thinking no b/c OCHO CINCO is TOO valuable. Plus, RBs are S. Jackson, J. Lewis, D. Foster, T. Jones, along with F. Taylor. Other WRs are R. Wayne, K. Curtis. I feel like if I trade, I'll only have 3 WRs, and that's not good. Not going RB heavy where I can only use two. I think I'm already too RB heavy, but I know giving up 2 WRs would kill my team. What do you think?

I don't know if it's been mentioned, but it looks like Carr will be startin gthis week. He took the snaps with the first team offense yesterday and Delhomme did not practice from what I heard. Carr has even been interviewed about starting, so I think it's probably a given.

My problem is that Kellen Winslow may not go this week, and I need another TE for the week. I'm wondering about who to pick up.

you guys with Winslow, I would at least wait until later in the week to waste a spot on another TE who probably won't score, I think KWII is going to play even with his slight shoulder separation...he is a mother fucking soldier.

^ ha ha and he hasn't really played more than 40-50% of the offensive snaps (i.e less opportunities to suffer a concussion). MBIII value goes up everyday

Have to start 2 of these at WR and WR/RB:

Brian Leonard at Dal.
Rudi Johnson vs. NE
Dwayne Bowe at SD
Buster Davis vs KC
Bobby Engram at SF

^Odds are that Rudi isn't playing against the Pats, so cross him out. If he does, he won't be effective.

I really don't think Leonard will be effective against Dallas, but he is a starting RB.

My gut tells me to go with Bowe and Engram.

I am leaning towards Engram and Bowe....who is really coming along for the Chiefs.

I also have the Chargers D and the Texans and I think I am going to chance it and go with Houston at ATL.

^^ No way I would start Engram over Leonard. The risk/reward is lower with Leonard and Dallas's defense is solid, not great. Leonard was a stud in the preseason (yeah I know preseason - big whoop).

I agree on Bowe though and Houston's defense looks good this year. A matchup against ATL is very favorable unless Harrington pulls some shit like he did last week.

i'd say negative on that one. torry holt has an injured QB in bulger throwing to him. I wouldn't be surprised if it gets worse and frerote takes over.

The RBs are a wash IMO, though.

I have Benson and I hate it right now. But with a new QB in Griese, they made actually try and run the ball more. Plus STL isn't so hot right now either. I wouldn't do it.

QB (1)
Hasselbeck @ SF
Griese @ DET
Delhomme vs. TB

RB (2)
Lynch vs. NYJ
Dayne @ ATL
(he will likely get the start with Green out)
J Lewis vs. BAL
S Jackson @ DAL (hurt)

WR (3)
Ocho Cinco vs. NE
Galloway @ CAR
B Marshall @ IND
(I like this guy, Cutler does too. High scoring game?)
Calvin Johnson vs. CHI (bad back, tough defense..?)
James Jones vs. MIN (maybe a good pick...?)
Brandon Jones (bye)

TE (1)
Jeff King vs. TB

K (1)
Wilkins

DEF (1)
Cleveland vs. BAL (picked these guys up off waivers for home game vs the Ravens)
Denver @ IND

defenses on wire in case you don't think cleveland or denver can do a good job:
STL @ Dallas
ARI vs PIT
BUF vs NYJ (hmm..?)
CIN vs NE
ATL vs HOU
TB @ CAR
KC @ SD
DET vs CHI
NYG vs PHI
---------------------------------------------

Would ya'll change anything?

looks pretty good overall...i kind of like Jamal Lewis this week though...hes obviously going up against a great defense in Baltimore...however he does know that defense as well as anybody else...I think he'll have something to prove...they might hold him to 40 yards and no score but I'm playing him in my leagues

^^monitor dayne's situation and make sure he's going to start, if he does start then yes he's a better play than J-Lew.

Also I think I would prefer TB against possibly Carr...the Browns D just isn't very good

^^^ KC's defense is highly underrated. A matchup against SD is risky, but they should be better than the Browns D over the entire season.

^ Agreed. Hester is too much risk/reward (especially if the Bears offense ever gets going, the other team will have the ball less meaning less punt return, kick off return opportunities).

Need a 2nd RB to go along with Westbrook(assuming he plays):
-Cedric Benson @ Detroit --> anyone against Detroit is always a plus
-Ronnie Brown vs. Oak--> another good match-up for Brown but was last week a fluke?
-Marshawn Lynch vs. NYJ--> best match-up of the year for Lynch who should be itching to break out but their QB situation could force teams to stack the box even more

I guess I would go Benson.

Trade:

I would get:
Lee Evans
Antonio Gates
Rudi Johnson

I would give up:
Dwayne Bowe
Jason Witten
Clinton Portis

thoughts? I am thinking yes, but just worried about Rudi's injury.

^^Lynch, the Jets could have 12 in the box and they would simply record more missed tackles. As Panthro mentioned earlier, Jauron will probably call for short passes with Edwards at QB, and Lynch is a good receiver, so he should get some more receiving yardage as well.

^Yes I would do that...Rudi will be back Week 6 (out this week, bye next week)

Stixman I would jump all over that

Gates is obviously better than Witten
Portis and Rudi are both solid
Bowe might've scored a TD last week, but he's still a rookie and its still the Chief's offense...and Evans hasn't done much but he's liable to bust out with a 200 yard game any week now

Jericho Cotchery @ BUF or Darrell Jackson vs SEA
coin: Darrell Jackson

*Travis Henry @ Indy, *Lamont Jordan @ Miami, Thomas Jones @ Buffalo
coin: Lamont Jordan, Thomas Jones @ Buffalo

*Javon Walker @ Indy, *Deion Branch @ SF, *Devin Hester @ Detroit, Darrell Jackson vs. Seattle, James Jones @ Minn
coin: Hester, James Jones

Brian Leonard at Dal., Dwayne Bowe at SD, Buster Davis vs KC, Bobby Engram at SF
coin: Leonard, Engram

Cedric Benson, Ronnie Brown, Marshawn Lynch
coin: Benson, Brown

I hope the coin is wrong for personal reasons

so i'm picking up donald lee to play TE this week

i have to drop one of my two TE to pick him up, but knowing the owners in my league, they will pick whoever I drop right up and I won't ever see him again

So....

DROP ONE (and probably say adios to him)

Vernon Davis (out for two weeks)

or

Eric Johnson (on a BYE)

both have similar points overall so far, and i drafted davis pretty high, but he is hurt for a couple weeks and the SF offense looks iffy. On the other hand, EJ is consistent with looks, but doesn't do much for you YAC wise to score like vernon is able to do.

If you aren't getting a top 3 or so TE, taking them early is such a waste of a pick. It's like those idiots who take a kicker in anything but the last 2 rounds.
