It could have made a difference. If they didn't make the first 3rd down conversion several minutes earlier they wouldn't have gone for 4th near midfield. We likely wouldn't have stopped them anyway but with both TOs gone early on they played with no fear of us getting the ball back. Still think it was a bad call, you're free to disagree.

While it is no excuse for us to lose an entire game over, Baker's fumble killed us for sure. Starting down because of that kind of turn over was just a huge blow. Defense played outstanding today, only points we gave up the entire game came from a drive where they started in the red zone.

If our offense had gotten ANYTHING going today this game would have been different and the biggest disappointment on offense for me was the WRs and the O-Line.

Im certainly pissed as hell right now, but by no means am I giving up hope yet and I am certainly not looking forward to basketball season over this.

Game Positives:
D looked good, Offense found a rhythm towards the end which they can hopefully keep for the rest of the season, and our coaching staff seems to have learned something about RW and why it doesn't work to play him conservatively. Our punts are much better than in the past couple years. Also, RW can make some great throws, even if our receivers are dropping them constantly.

Game Negatives/What Lost us the Game:
Their only score was a direct result of a fumble from Baker. Our coaching staff was not calling anything very well for the first half/three quarters of the game. Also, our wide receivers apparently soak their arms in grease before the game.

you always call the TO on 1st down and 2nd down. the goal is to force them to pass on 3rd (which we did) in which case a completion is probably for a first down anyway which will end up running out the clock, but an incompletion will stop the clock for free
