didn't eat enough to keep going

I'll stick with water.

it was G2 fruit punch

as soon as I hit mile 2, I caught a wicked stomach cramp, except not really a cramp and I couldn't decide what it was gonna do, so I cut my run short and walked for 1/4 mile back towards my place.

I felt blah out there and I did run 6+ yesterday.

But I'll be staying away from gatorade until after the run is over from now on. I usually don't touch it unless I run for more than an hour anyway.

I'll dilute my Gatorade sometimes.

After a good run I always crave chocolate milk for some reason.

my friend told me that drinking milk after a workout is good for you. I can't remember why at the moment. I couldn't do it.

yea during the summer time, my parents will go through like 3 gallons of milk a week - and it's usually just my dad drinking it.

I remember when I could do 1000 situps and I wouldn't be sore the next day... I need to get back in that shape again...

I think I'm going to stick with a regular daily workout and start off with:

Pushups:
30 reps
20 reps
15 reps

Situps/crunches:
100 reps
100 reps
100 reps

Running:
1 mile.

I'm going to do my damnest to stick with this on a daily basis, rain or shine*

*(if there's a severe thunderstorm, then I can use "sick time" for the running portion )

As it gets easier to do this, I'll increase reps. Ultimately, I want to be able to do 2 reps of 500 situps and 2 reps of 50 pushups with a <6min mile.

^nice! i, too, have reach all sorts of levels of low this morning

i weighed 136 this morning...which is the lowest i've weighed in a loooong time
however i am positive its only due to water retention (loss), however its still the lowest ive weighed ina while.

i drank quite a bit last night but i'm fairly sure i didn't go over 2k cals.

and on a related, yet seperate note....i woke up with my heart POUNDING. i'm having one of the most intese panic attacks i have ever experienced
ive taken a WHOLE clonzepam (i'm used to one half) and a glass of low sugar OJ in hopes to battle this.

so far no success

I've been training for my new job and working all kinds of crazy hours. Plus I've been house/cat sitting in Nor Ral so I haven't gone to the gym in a week, but I've been busting my ass at work and on my feet all day. I have no idea what my weight is though.

About to go and ride for a few hours. I'm thinking of heading down Kildaire to Tryon to Lake Wheeler, to Centennial to Avent Ferry and then coming back up to Tryon. Depending on distance I may do multiple loops, but it's gonna be balls hot out there.

LMFAO. yeah man! When we gonna have another match?

on a related note...

I weighed in at 150lbs.

My situps were disappointing. I'm in a helluva worse shape than I thought. But I also haven't had anything to eat but a bowl of fresh cantaloupe today, so I'll start eating appropriately.

100 situps (timed at 1 min 45 sec).
1 min rest
50 situps
1 min rest
50 situps.

I pretty much maxed out at 50 in the last rep. I'm not feeling sore, just lacking energy/fuel, so I may do another set tonight before bed...

No.. But that would help with strength. I used to just bust it out with a lot of reps, which def. gave me amazing definition. should I get some plate weights and rest them on my upper chest?

Hold them over you head with your arms straight out. It'll burn a lot more. kinda like http://www.bodybuilding.com/exercises/detail/view/name/press-sit-up but without bringing the barbell back to your chest each time

damn... I think I just found my source of stealth calories... Fucking skim milk that shit has like 80 calories per 8 oz. And I would drink like two cups every morning and sometimes in the evening!

Yeah, milk is very high calorie. It's one of the reasons I've cut so much dairy out of my diet. Lactose is just another kind of sugar.

Just got back from my ride, stopped at Ruckus and drank some water and got out of the heat and then turned back around. Total ride was just a tick over 30 miles. The ride was ok, but the heat was pretty ridiculous.

Today's 1 mile run was 7 min. 15 sec. I look forward to seeing the improvement... Granted, I haven't had shit to eat today. This is most definitely a huge factor in today's performance.

I've had:
1100 calories today. This has consisted of about 3-4 cups of canteloupe, 2 softie powdered sugar donuts and a glass (16 oz) of skim milk, and a chick-fil-a spicey chicken sandwhich.

Yeah, I'm a bit hungry right now... This Long Strider needs to work on the endurance factor as well..

What do you guys use to calculate how many calories you should intake daily? I found this:

http://www.shapefit.com/dailycalorie-calc.html

To maintain your current weight you'll need: 2627 calories per day.
Looks like I need to eat more...
