I have no problem with Maurice at all, I think we are exceeding expectations this year by being in the playoff hunt with such a young team. Maybe we're doing that despite our coach, I dunno, I do know that our defense could be better, but its not bad enough for me to think a coaching change is needed

Man Bobrovski has had some mind-blowing save tonight. It should probably be 4-1 right now, but we're stuck at two. Hopefully the Canes can keep some form of pressure up. That first period was the most exciting I've seen in a while.

Great game tonight with a great atmosphere. Perfect tailgating weather too. Couldn't have asked for a better way to watch Roddy's number go to the rafters!

Beating the Flyers last night was a nice little touch. Hadn't done that since 2006.

Cole played a great game. He's been hot lately. It's a pretty nice touch considering he would go loads of games looking like he forgot how to skate.

I know they left everything on the ice against Philly last night, but there is no excuse for coming out that flat in the first period.

I can't wait for Paul Maurice to be gone and for this team to be confident again. His team never has any identity whatsoever. I realize that it's up to the players to play, but it's up to the coaches to put systems in place to be successful.

Laviolette had to go when he did, but bringing back Paul Maurice sure wasn't the answer.

Look, I want to gloat and be half as big a jerk as most Canes fans are (including a hefty amount on here) when the Canes beat the Devils but instead I will simply say that the Canes played a hell of a game against the Goon Flyers and probably could have used a break before facing the hottest team in the NHL even if that team has to go 20-5 to even think about the playoffs.

I'm ecstatic that we're done seeing the Devils this year. We got 3 of our 4 games with them in the middle of one of their hottest stretches in franchise history. I really wish Peters would've started last night though. Need to get back on track and bring the level of intensity we did against PHI every night. Huge stretch coming up with NYR, PIT and MTL this week. Need at least 4 points. I feel like Staal needs to get going again to give us some spacing from teams like Buffalo.
