I want to see how we look tomorrow before I say that. This was a tough loss for the team and the type of game that can derail a season. Honestly, it would have been better for us to just get beat as most of us expected than to blow a 20 point lead. My hope is that the guys will see that the first half we played last night will give us a chance against any team in the country. If FSU comes in and stomps us at home though followed by another Carolina drubbing I could see us losing out the rest of the way.

We played well last night, and I saw some shining rays of hope, and some serious talent for a good portion of the game. Then we had a few calls go the other way, and we collapsed on ourselves. It was a heart-wrenching loss, but it wasn't a shameful loss. Not in my opinion, anyways. I'm proud of our team, and hopefully they aren't kicking themselves over last night, and they've moved on to the one thing they can control now, the next game.

^ This. I really don't want to see us come out against Duke, play a great (most) of the game. Then come out and looks like a pile of shit against other teams. I'm tired of the fucking inconsistency.

With that said, I'm happy we played this well and didn't get reamed from the beginning. Here's hoping we can put on just as good of a show and close it out against FSU and/or UNC. I really don't feel like dropping to 5th, 6th, or 7th in the ACC prior to the tournament.

This is one case where I'm sure the team is thankful for the 2-day turnaround. This is the kind of loss that can derail a season or bring a team closer together. Hoping for the latter.

Are you saying we are a threat to reach Madison square garden? Maybe but I'm just worried about getting upset by Northwestern or Temple on our way to the Final Four. Those type of teams always derail us.

But its been a few years since we made a good NIT run. We actually did make the final four in 2000 but we lost to wake forest.

Robert o Kelly just exploded on us. But people still talk about Tim Wells he really put the team on his back during that immaculate run.

When we hit the 20-point mark, I could feel the shitstorm coming. It's a weird feeling to have, knowing that you should be pleased with the lead and the way we've played up to that point, and that we should pull out the win, but also feel sad knowing that it's about to go down the shitter.

I stayed up drinking to preserve the loss. I bottled my piss from last night and labeled it "Gottfried fiddles while Boils burns us"

This is why I complain after we beat d3 teams by 10 points and we build bad habits like benching our good players during the game. Bad habits like that become routine and in pressure situations people fall into their traps.

We were down 3 with 25 seconds left and we panicked instead of trying to score. Any team that has practiced before would try to get a layup there. But brown is a deer in headlights just like the uva game and we can't even get a shot off let alone a layup
