so from screwing around on the NFL Playoff Machine

IF

week 12: Browns beat Falcons, Ravens beat Saints
week 13: Panthers beat Vikings, Cards beat Falcons, Steelers beat Saints
week 14: Saints beat Panthers, Packers beat Falcons
week 15: Panthers beat Bucs, Steelers beat Falcons, Bears beat Saints
week 16: Browns beat Panthers, Falcons beat Saints
week 17: Panthers beat Falcons, Saints beat Bucs

Panthers win the division at 6-9-1. If the Saints beat the Bears, the Panthers can still win the division by beating the Browns and finishing 7-8-1. Winning out nets 8-7-1 and almost certainly wins the division.

Sad that 3 more wins can still get the job done if things play out like above. Odds are long, and I don't expect it...but it would be funny if any of those 3 happen.

And even more amazing when they play a cowboys or packers team and somehow beat them

That being said I think the Saints win the division at 8-8.

If we can get to 8-7-1 then obviously we would beat them out. They are preaching about 5 in a row. Let's all be real though, we lose to Minny we are DONE...however would be comical to see 6-9-1 in playoffs...

In other news Luke is leading vote getter for inside linebackers.

I heard we could potentially win at 5-10-1 if the math works out

Week 12 CHECK-
Week 13 is possible and at the end of it we would be in first at 4-7-1 and other 2 at 4-8
Week 14 is possible---- Saints 5-8, us at 4-8-1, falcons at 4-9 or 5-8 who cares at that point?
week 15 is possible, but I say saints win again 6-8 and falcons lose 5-9, we are 5-8-1
Week 16-we MIGHT lose to brownies 5-9-1, there is no way the falcons are winning in superdome putting them at 7-8
Week 17 I give up cause like I said 5-10-1 is our record and the saints will win the division 7-9 and get redemption that time they had to go TO 7-9 seahawks and lost.

watching the saints last night reminding me how god awful the panthers team is. we're competing in a division that's in the decision of the worst of all time. all teams are 3 under .500.

I love how everyone is being optimistic. We're fans I get it. but lets be real. They're playing the Viking, they HAVE to win.

So is it a given that whoever wins this division will win their first playoff game? Because that's how this shit works, correct?

As a non-Panther fan, I'm rooting like hell for the Bucs to rebound and somehow win the division just for the lulz.

but see we could win the division with such a shitty record that we go from like picking 10th to picking 22nd in the draft

[Edited on November 25, 2014 at 9:32 AM. Reason : clearly i would take a division title over a higher pick any day. but still.]

I wouldn't. That 10th pick is worth way more than being the Washington Generals to a real playoff team..

I can go either way. I'd love to see the Panthers back in the playoffs, but we really have no chance to do any damage once we get in. We have no pass rush, no offensive line, and a QB who's in one hell of a slump.

Get a top-10 pick, draft an OT or DE, figure out what the hell to do with Hardy, and try again next year.

Sitting at 3-7-1, if the Saints or Falcons were like 9-3 or something, sure, let's get a good draft pick

But sitting at 3-7-1 and 0.5 games out of the playoffs, talking about draft picks is some loser mentality shit

we're about to get blown out by the freaking vikings, we very well mightbe the worst team in the league now and the sad part is we're not going to get close to the number one pick we deserve bc we somehow won a few games early on

WE SUCK

I hate the special teams...and not just the punt block, the fact we don't even fair catch punts now and they roll to the 8, etc. This WILL be the last game I watch this year unless we score 18 in 10 minutes. (AINT HAPPENING) god we suck.

I thought his hearing/trial got pushed back to 2015. Therefore no way we get him back this year.

Rivera is who he is, and he's gotten the defense playing relatively well. Who knows who how involved he even is with the offense. If there is someone clearly better available go for it, otherwise I'd fire Shula and hire someone who could be Rivera's replacement when we start 0-4 next year.

i'd have no problem with firing any and everybody this offseason. but how hot is rivera's seat in reality? shula's?

i feel like, and i could be wrong, that last year was enough to save rivera's job this year. but i'd love see change somewhere.
