Well, I think her eyebrows look fine and I never noticed that they weren't 'ideal'.

the only time i've used any type of pencil on my eyebrow has been to draw on a good eyebrow then tweeze all the hair outside of where i've marked.

I use a pencil or brow powder to fill mine in sometimes because I have thin (not a thin line) brows

but that's it

I should have used it last night...see how thin

I use a brow pencil when I make a grave error and pluck a crucial brow hair so then i gotta cover a tiny bald patch

I wish mine were naturally full and dark like that. I have weirdly sparse brows, so I fill em in with powder, but never draw outside of the actual hairs.

^^ I'm jealous of your canes shirt. it's cute

So does/has anybody used bras from Soma? I'm considering going there in search of a good strapless, though I could probably use some regular t-shirt bras too. All mine are old

Thank you! It's from wal mart

My newest set of bras is from target, the duo dry sports bras. I really love them. I need new real bras though.

I love Target bras. All my current ones are from Target. I have gotten things from Soma, and they are generally very high quality. I haven't tried the bras though.

I need good suggestions for a spanx like strapless bodice for the weddin'

I need something that will fit a sweetheart neckline... Any suggestions?

My dress came with undergarments to fit it, but I might want to get something sleeker.

My dress came from a consignment shop so I didn't get jack with it

I'm thinking something like this might have to be it, plus a strapless bra...

I have just had a problem with spanx rolling up in the past :/

That's what my friend said - but I'm frustrated because the only area they're too small are in my thighs, but in the waist they're not too small at all BAH

I like this one more because of the straps

I guess since its stretchy material it shouldn't get too "big" in the waist, right? Meaning if I go a size up for just my thunder thighs?

it's a may wedding right? i don't know how many layers your dress has (even though it is a tea length), but i decided against the spanx after my portait (in april) as i got sooooo hot. which was a good thing as our wedding day (1st weekend in june) was the same as it was in april.

if it's a must, if there's a lighter version of spanx i'd get that so you don't roast.

damnit I was trying to not go on a spanx rant

sam the one you posted with the straps (slim cognito) is way thick and it doesn't hold it's shape as much over the course of a night. It's really stretchy so if you can go down a size i would suggest it. Your thunder thighs won't show under that dress even if it does "cut" into them a little.

the first one you showed looks like their skinny britches collection. They're really thin and great for summer, but only offer minimal slimming. I would suggest them to the ladies that really didn't need anything, but kept screaming I WANT SPANX FOR MY DRESS. They do more smoothing than anything, so they're great to have that layer when you don't want to constrict your inner organs lol.

The orginal spanx that come in the pantyhose like packaging would be a good middle ground I think. They hold in well, but aren't too think you'll die being outside for too long.

I can seriously go into more detail if you want later....hope that helps

Are the skinny britches good for keeping thighs from rubbing together? I dont need anything to hold my fat in on my thighs and butt cuz i have a ball gown. My undergarment is a corsetty thing with built in bra.

i wore a super thick one that went from just under the bra to mid-thigh ish (like that one pictured above) under my wedding dress, for my outdoor june wedding. i tried on spanx and a couple of other pantyhose-type ones, but they just didn't cut it & rolled down/up when i moved. i'm a very hot natured person & was actually fine in it. i don't remember being hot or sweaty. it was about $20 & i got at belk here in rocky mount. it has little strips of really tacky/sticky stuff at the top & bottom to keep it in place. doesn't show under anything. i wear it a lot under other dresses still (when i'm not pregnant). i love that thing.

I wore one (not Spanx brand) just over my waist for smoothing. It was hot, uncomfortable, and unnecessary. I took it off as soon as the ceremony was over.

I was mainly looking for something that would smooth me out more than anything - the dress I have still shows my tummy some, and I doubt it'll be completely flat in 18 days even after working out tons :/ and I definitely don't want something thick - mainly just something that is smoothing and keeps my thighs from running together (I don't want anything to cut their size down because I like them )

And yeah, the first one was from the skinny britches collection. Hmm. So maybe that's the best one? I guess if I get way hot I can just take them off way easily - benefit of having a tea length dress I suppose

So I just tried polka dots on my nails for the first time. Not that hard at all but I am not completely certain they came out as well as I anticipated. What say y'all?

I need medium/jewel toned collared button downs by tomorrow morning. I'm thinking Ann Taylor is a safe bet. Anywhere else I can get in and out quickly, and that carries darker button downs? (All of mine are pastels).

J Crew is a good one. I was told not Express (I love their button downs), because they can be "too tight" around the top.

New York and Company. Just bought a bunch of jewel tone sleeveless blouses there (to wear under cardigans), not sure if they have the same colors for blouses with sleeves though.

@ Green Jay & Diva

Is this better? Same colors, just reversed. I think the dark green is actually too dark. I'm really pale, so I shy away from solid dark colors :-/

way better

and for what it's worth, it looks black to me (even darker) and I like it....the contrast is way better than having the white nails which make you look even more pale actually

The best part of the diva cup is that you can put it in before your period starts, unlike a tampon. No more risk of turning your pants into a nasty mess! I would easily pay much more for the cup than tampons because it makes my life so much easier.

I can think of 10 ways the divacup would NOT make your life easier.

Versus changing a tampon 3-4 times a day? I don't even get what you're saying here, if you are in fact making a comparison with using tammies.

luckily spanx has a "luxe" line that's actually pretty to look at

good thing is, lots of other brands are aboard the train of pretty yet functional shapewear too!

they even have their assets line at target rocking some pretty lace
