Back to 7 footers, what is the decision??

My thoughts are... if he can get howell in good enough shape to play as many minutes as he did last year compared to the year before... i think maybe we should try to see what kind of training he can do to get us an active 7 footer?

Looks like Purvis was bumped down a few because some guys were upgraded to 5-star recruits, and Purvis is the top 4-star recruit

We have done the best we are gonna do at this point. He may or may not be waiting on Leslie's decision, who knows. The longer this drags out the less confidence I have in us having much of a chance, but you can't ask for the staff/players/recruits + a sweet 16 run to do any better recruiting the kid over the last 2 months.

I feel the opposite. The longer the better for us. No reason. Just how I feel.

The kid has roomed with Purvis multiple times at camps and such. He played in the 2v2 with Lewis. I feel like it's so blindingly obvious that his heart wants to be at State. If he ends up somewhere else, it's because of outside pressure.

Derby Classic was tonight.

Tyler and Amile were on a team together and played against TJ Warren.

Lewis finished with 11 points and 6 assists.
Jefferson had 26 points and won MVP.
Warren had 27 points and was the highest scorer.

Our guys did pretty damn well. I really hope we can land Amile too.

he could just as easily be waiting to see what the other uncommitted recruits are doing. who knows? i think playing this much with tyler can only help though. sounds like they had a good chemistry together.

Rodney Hood, a small forward on Mississippi St who averaged 10 & 5 as a freshman this past season, is transferring out. I'm guessing that Gottfried might go after him if we miss on Amile.

IIRC Lowe tried to recruit him. Gott might know him from his days at 'Bama too. Would be real nice to have him step in after Wood graduates

Kind of off topic, but it seems interesting that with the Baylor punishment Scott Drew was not allowed to call recruits from January 1st through February 29th and yet Ricardo Gathers signs on February 6th? I find it hard to believe he hadn't talked to the coach for over a month and then commits.
