16 shots, 4 goals... a step up from his outing against the Caps.

we cant really trust Ward either. he has let in 9 of his last 37(?) seen shots.

this is frustrating

not looking good for the canes needed to get one of these road games. but two back to back beatdowns does not bode well for us.

Carolina's Remaining Schedule:

Tomorrow: vs. Tampa Bay
Sunday: at Florida
Tuesday, April 3rd: at Tampa Bay
Friday, April 6th: vs. Atlanta
Saturday, April 7th: vs. Florida

Questions:

Are we more likely to win 5 in a row or lose 5 in a row if you had to bet?
Will the Thrashers choke?
Will 9th in the conference have more points than the Southeast Division winner?

Because the Canes used up all their luck last year remember? I mean you can't get much luckier than having half of the Sabres injured for Game 7 and then having Edmonton's goalie injured early for the Stanly Cup Finals.

^^ Is this the part where I point out that if the Flyers hadn't been hurting in the first round, they'd have pwnt the Sabres?

So don't fucking talk to me about luck.

Not to mention our starting goalie for the entire season have a total mental and physical meltdown in the first two games.

Yes, everything went right and the stars aligned for Carolina to win the Cup last year. But that's how it is. That's what has to happen for a team to make it through the playoffs.

welcome to my sports world. first the panthers go from the super bowl then the next year no playoffs...now the same scenario goes with the hurricanes.

ITS NOT OVER YET. Seriously, we are going to come home, kick Tampa put of the playoffs, and assert ourselves. This team has too much leadership to just fold up and go home.

Any talk of 10 year anniversary patches on the jerseys next season? That would be sweet.

Montreal and the Islanders both lost, but at this point, does it even matter? If this team wins its final 4 games there is a very good chance they make the playoffs. But I can't think of a single reason to believe they are capable of doing that.

No, but the fact is the guy was not terrible tonight. I have to give him credit for stepping up over the second half of this season and being one of our best defensemen. But that is the problem. David Tanabe should NOT BE one of our best defensemen.
