Actually I went to Blizzcon for World of Warcraft (LOLNERDKEKHAHAHA). I would have gone to Comic Con as well but I'm saving the PTO for a trip to Turkey later this year.

so can someone do me a favor...i don't think my ps3 is ventilating correctly. my game froze today and was checking to see if it was getting overheated. well i was checking the vents and it seems only one side of the vent was pushing hot air. can anyone tell me if you could feel hot air coming out on all the vents?

Eh, how do you have it sitting? Mine sits vertically and the couple times I've checked it was spitting hot air from the top and rear vents. I think intakes are on the bottom and front.

well i had it sitting laying flat...now i have it sitting upright...feel the very top of the see if feel hot air coming out from both those vents...i could feel hot air coming from the right vent but not the left vent.

Honestly though, I think it's a little irresponsible to review an online only game like Warhawk before you've had a chance to play it on the public servers after release. That's the only way you can get a real measure of things like lag, time between games, etc....

This just proves that reviews are worthless.

Heavenly Sword scored higher than WarHawk??? Sure, it's probably very pretty. And sure, it's probably got some awesome moments. But there is NO WAY you will get as much gameplay out of it as you will Warhawk. And that's before you even factor in that Warhawk costs almost 1/2 of what Heavenly Sword does.

Don't get me wrong, I'm interested in (renting) Heavenly Sword. But the demo pretty much confirms my fears: it's going to be another souped-up button masher.

Starting 12:15 tonight, it's Warhawk for me all the way until Fifa 08 comes out in October. That game is looking sicker by the minute...

Yeah, Heavenly Sword and Lair definitely feel like great rentals. Warhawk is a must buy though, for anyone that owns a PS3 and has an internet connection. I've seen nothing but positive feedback from the people who played the beta, and the only negatives in the reviews is the lack of a single player campaign and bots. It's essentially an Arcade version of Battlefield.

Well, IGN gave heavenly sword a 70. I've heard people say it's like 6 hours long and basically a mindless button combat masher that's not on par with God of War that it tries to emulate. I doubt I'll even rent it.

I am intersted in playing warhawk after i finish bioshock a couple of times though. Well, after Metroid Prime 3 too. But I am interested...so any bluetooth adapter will work with my ps3?

Ugh, I rented Resistance: FOM and well...I really don't like it. I have plenty of other games to worry about but still thought i'd try it. I think I've been really pampered by alot of really nice shooters in the past year or so, and I'm late to this party so retroactively speaking I'm a bit harsh but....I mean...the feel is really empty.

No rumble (I understand that's not the game's fault), the colors are washed out, the textures are undetailed, geometry is decent, audio surprisingly unimpressive via dolby digital. I dunno. I didnt play past the first level and I could tell it was umm, not so great. Maybe MP is better.

TRUST ME, IM NOT TRYiNG TO TROLL...I just was curious who thought this was a really good game because I'm not seeing it so far

Woot, Warhawk up in the store. Yeah, I was gonna buy the retail but fuck it, I'm impatient.

^I dunno, I only played the demo. Exactly what shooters are you comparing it to? It seemed like a pretty standard console FPS, no better or worse than the dozens that are out. Of course any FPS you play after playing Bioshock is gonna feel empty. What were you expecting? The real shocker is going to be when Halo 2.5 comes out and you realize you waited 3 years for a graphics update and triple wielding.

Im not sure what im comparing it too...i just thought it was very stock, like you are saying. Not a big title that i remember it splashing with. I'm in the middle of bioshock and yeah, that really invigorates the genre so it's unfair (I noted that).

No, I've played the halo 3 demo through crackdown, and yeah its not like this huge advancement. It's an advancement but its not earth shattering. After seeing some of the new weapons and single player im still excited about it. Not like the rabids though, no where close. I'll buy it for the 4-coop single player stuff over live. I really fucking like that. But am I waiting in line for that one? Nope.

The Warhawk launch seems to have gone off without a hitch. All the servers I connected to weren't laggy at all, even with 32 players, and even the 800mb download took a lot less time than I thought it would. Me thinks Sony beefed up their PSN content servers for the launch. Correct me if I'm wrong, but this is the first "next gen" console game to be digitally distributed?

My early impressions is that the game is a lot of fun, but comes with a learning curve. It's a lot like the first time you play Battlefield, and have no idea where to run or what to do. Flying is extremely intuitive though and you'll feel like an ace in no time, unlike the helicopters in Battlefield 2. Sucks to go to work today

I had a whole lot of fun with Resistance. I thought the graphics were great, but it was the first NextGen game that I really sank my teeth into. Even still, I think it was a whole lot of fun and the weapons were pretty creative and I enjoyed it.

I'll be getting WarHawk when I get home tonight. Can you tell much of a difference from how it played, etc. in the beta? It was fun the so I'm definitely excited. I think its going to be really fun when I have people over and we get in on the split screen (up to 4 is hot).
