When Bruce is speaking to the taped up officers during the Mayor's speech he used his Batman voice without the microphone in his costume.
That magic trick gif is great, now if someone can only get one of Maggie blowing up I'd be set.

For the last goddamned time, in reality, Batman would have to disguise his voice--I mean, he's the world-famous billionaire Bruce Wayne, for fuck's sake. Short of digitally altering his voice through some type of mask attachment, what would you have him do?

That logic didn't work for the supposedly "much more awesome" The Incredible Hulk.
The Incredible Hulk (2008):
Opening weekend: $55,414,050

I think I had a hard time with Batman's voice because Christian Bale sounded like he had a lisp with a little spit action every time he talked. I liked Michael Keaton's Batman voice better I think that is why I am so biased.
I would have to say these batman movies are the best imo. I am soooooooo sad that Heath Ledger died bc that Joker performance is what I have been waiting for for a long time. There is no way in hell they are going to have someone play that part as good as that. Reminds me of Brandon Lee in the Crow. The movies that followed after he died sucked crazily bc no one played the undead like Brandon Lee. The darkness in these movies are amazing!!! Oh...let me not forget Aaron Eckhart as Harvey Dent. THAT WAS A VERY SWEET PORTRAYAL!!!!! 7/26/2008 11:09:56 AM |

For the last goddamned time, I realize this. What would I have him do? Ummm I dont know not sound like a fucking giant douche. His voice was so over the top through most of the movie. Tone it back a little bit, try not to sound like macho man randy savage and i wouldnt have a problem with it.

IMAX easy
Saw it again at the IMAX last night. I don't know if this has been brought up or not but my favorite parts of the movie involve the one violin note that sounds slightly off bring played anytime the Joker is involved in a scene.
And the sonar part didn't bother me as much this time around as being related to Alfred's speech about burning down the whole forest. 7/26/2008 2:08:54 PM |

Is there a long wait at Imax? it may be a big group, so we'd rather not have to go an hour early just to guarantee seats.

you will want to get there at least an hour early unless you want to sit in the front row and have to look up at an 80 degree angle the entire film. 7/26/2008 2:22:25 PM |

is it more "scene" to have someones head in front of you when you're watching a movie?

*Sigh* Concerning the inflation logic, my point was that it didn't help the supposedly better 2008 Hulk movie on opening weekend--the other numbers above were included simply FYI.
The Incredible Hulk (2008):
Opening weekend: $55,414,050
http://www.boxofficemojo.com/movies/?id=incrediblehulk.htm
Hulk (2003):
Opening weekend: $62,128,420
http://www.boxofficemojo.com/movies/?id=hulk.htm
The 2008 Hulk movie didn't have a higher opening weekend than the 2003 Hulk movie--even with five years of inflation adjustment. In addition, movie ticket prices are rising at less than the rate of inflation:
Quote : | "On average movie tickets cost about $7 -- the price is rising less than the rate of inflation. Since 1991, the price of movie tickets has risen 67 percent. While that may seem like a significant increase, by comparison, the cost of baseball tickets has more than tripled." |

Kevin Conroy (voice of Batman on the cartoons) is the perfect example of Bruce disguising his voice as Batman without it being too distracting. It's a shame they can't just dub his voice over everyone who plays Batman. 7/26/2008 6:37:32 PM |
