I already bought a brian ching jersey (on sale for 20 dollars) but I've been trying to get a davies jersey for a long time.

I was just looking through this thread to see how far back it goes. LOL, at me on page 12 and I did do what I said I was going to do only I screamed for joy when we kept scoring vs Egypt. It's kind of strange how we keep getting an African nation on the last day of group play in every tournament we play in. Hopefully 2010 is more like last year vs Egypt and not another choke job.

LAST GROUP MATCH

2006 FIFA World Cup: USA vs Ghana
2008 Olympics: USA vs Nigeria
2009 Confederations Cup: USA vs Egypt
2010 FIFA World Cup: USA vs Algeria

fucking lol at me in this thread

a little over year ago, I thought Beasley was the answer at left back, Donovan shouldn't play on the wing, Kljestan was awesome, and Wynne was the future at right back

but I was out in front of Davies being the man so at least I got that right

Harkes is a pimp

http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2010/soccer/02/02/harkes.wynalda.ap/index.html?eref=sihp

Quote :

hopefully Fabio calls up Sampson for some advice and he convinces him to kick Terry off the WC squad too

also, fuck you Sampson, you still suck

Fuck Rangers. And their cars.

Good job, Bhoys.

Oh and regarding Harkes and Wynalda, it used to be that I could stand Harkes, yet Wynalda got on my nerves. What a douche move by Harkes. Knowing Wynalda's style you'd think he would have put his fist through Harkes' face, deservedly.

I'm not shocked. Even my textbook for my European history class at NC State took the time to mention how the stadium was once burned down when Rangers was playing Celtic.

every single one of Landy's goals for the national team in this vid, it's a little PK-heavy towards the end obviously but I forgot about some of the awesome goals he scored, like the 3rd one against Ecuador

Brazil in the CC last summer is still my favorite though

I still remember worrying about the ridiculousness of the field conditions in Grenada, then being happy when a huge puddle caused the ball to stop right at Landy's feet.

I really like the Brazil goal, the two Ecuador goals and the Mexico goal where he dribbles pretty much all the way up one half of the field to score. He uses his speed so well though.

^ yep, and then Sanchez showing his Mexican class with the slide attempt on Eddie Johnson after

that's such a classic Donovan goal though, definitely in my top 5

We always have the most terrible kits.

If you're going to do something with the undertone gray, take a tip from Poland.

I think the eagle was pretty damn sweet. Favorite shirt of the 2006 WC.

freddy adu, game winning goal for aris today. nice to see hes playing and having a good impact on the team. I think he's got 1 goal and an assist or 2 in 3 starts and 2 subs? something like that. hopefully he can keep it up.

its too late for adu to either make the team or really ever play for the WC squad..unless were hit with major injuries. bradley wont make a radical selection if adu is playing well with some club no one has ever heard of for a few months...chances are he has his team set already knowing his style.

also i didnt see this posted anywhere in here, but this is an amazing read and i hope the rest of the US squad can get movitated and pumped by this:

Back on the field by April? Simply amazing. Let's hope he can regain enough form to be on the WC squad. His presence alone would be a serious moral boost.
