yes you can sometimes get out if you have class. there are automatic dismissal things (like age, mental handicap, citizenship, blah) but you can also send in your own personal request.

and it would be fun if i had time and actually got to do it. but usually you just sit in a room for like 4 or 5 hours then they say "ok jurors 100-150 can leave" and that is probably you so you're like "fuck" and you leave.

but in wake co district court nothing you get is gonna be that interesting. "can we use this easement" ohhh how riveting. an easement!

my dad went to fed court last year and his case was a guy on probation violating his probation. a little more interesting but it's no OJ simpson

^^ that wasn't a choice on the form for 100% dismissal. i'm sure you can but you still have to send in your own request i think. on the form there's already choices and you check one that fits you but they are like dead, retarded, old, mexican, etc.

i had jury duty today - no work

i have to finish 2 classes without having attended 1.5 months of school (that means 2 x 25 page papers by tuesday) (well technically 2.5 months if you count jan. but that is besides the point)

i had to go start handling my mom's estate today at the court house (luckily i got out of jury duty)

and i drive my dad around to various places since he is on seizure patrol and cannot drive. otherwise i just sit at home and make sure he doesn't kill himself and attempt to finish school w/o knowing what the fuck is going on.

maybe not super busy. but exhausted, fuck yes.
