Let's get this transfer window talk started up.

What are y'all hearing about your respective teams and what do you think your club needs?

Spurs obviously need a top flight striker. That is priority #1 and if they do nothing else that position HAS to be addressed.

I would still say LB has a be a position of priority as well. I've read a couple of interesting tactical articles lately mentioning that Spurs best option could be to eventually move Bale back to LB and get a guy like Ashley Young to play the wing so he could cut in with his right and leave room for Bale to use his pace and bust it down the touch line. It would be nearly impossible to mark him in that scenario unless you keep your right mid on him at all times. If teams decided to do that, we would be able to get an overload in the middle of the park and one of VDV or Modric would be unmarked at the other team's peril most of the time. An interesting scenario at least. For right now, I think just getting another LB to add depth and letting him continue to operate on the wing is the safe route.

Andy MF'in Carroll come on down!!!

Changing anything that Bale is doing right now would be a mistake, imo. He's not somebody you move around to compensate for other players, it should be the other way around so I agree with your last statement that they need a LB instead. I don't think they NEED another striker but I guess it wouldn't hurt.

Liverpool needs: a brand new defense, two wingers, another forward, and a new coach.

I'm getting tired of Dzeko transfer speculation and honestly, I don't get the hype especially at that price. Of all the teams with the money and ambition, I think Carroll makes the most sense for City

if liverpool gets eden hazard, they will be the luckiest team on earth. he is going to be so good, but i doubt it happens until after the season with lille making a run at 1st in ligue 1.

aston villa need a lot of help right now, most notably a new striker since carew and agbonlahor haven't really been scoring. i don't know exactly who they'd go after. they got robert pires earlier in the year, so maybe they'll try to sign david trezeguet next...just kidding. the team has been way below expectations so far.

and bale should stay on left wing for as long as he's playing like this. he's way too good at offense to worry about defense.

not enough falling down and arm flailing through 30. Walcott gets early kudos though.

If I'm Lampard and I serve up a ball like that on a silver platter, you'd better fucking run for it, Kakuta

oh god, get ready for all the Arsenal knob-slobbing from the pundits since they dominated a Chelsea side that hasn't been good for months.

Not taking that away from them, but you have to admit that Chelsea has been extremely poor for weeks now.

no doubt. But the main knock on Arsenal has been about their resiliency and whether they're tough enough to keep it close down to the end. Beating last seasons' champions is a good indicator even with Chelsea's horrible form. It wasn't even close either. Chelsea got fucking dommed on tonight.

I still can't believe United is undefeated but I was just browsing the fixture list - they've been shit on the road (ok not "shit" but only one win in 7 games and they've given up 10 goals). Their next two games are against decent opponents but difficult venues to get 3 points (Brum and WBA) and they still have to go to Spurs, Arsenal, and Chelsea.. plus LIVERPOOOOOLLLLLL

so there's hope for the ABU brigade

^check out who was starting those road games. united have been impressive in defense after rio came back and partnered back up with vidic. they blew so many points early in the season with draws cause of jonny evans

jonny evans started the first 6 games for united alongside vidic, and vidic was carrying the team basically in defense. he did about all he could. with evans starting united gave up 9 goals in 6 games

when rio came back to fitness united have only let in 7 goals i believe in 11 games, with one of those the 7-1 victory with blackburn scoring their only goal after vidic was subbed out

the defense has done a complete 180 since the return of rio and those two in the back are on form again like they were when united won 2 seasons ago.

yeah, you right about the defense. but the offense isn't putting teams away like they do at OT

basically they've yet to play the majority of their tough games so I'm not worried yet
