I thought it looked more like a basset hound or another droopy-eyed, big-jowel dog:

http://losteastereggs.blogspot.com/

that is a good site to see screencaps and all kinds of things we didn't see

like the 2 guys that were arriving at the island with ben and his dad. they are also in the dharma video we saw...so they were already on the island, just coming back...

and the picture of the dog looks more like a basset hound

rwoody is really tempting me to bring back the cloud

especially since the "theories" have started back--some of you people just need to let the show run its course...

this was not the best episode of the season...it wasn't the worst episode either

desmond going back in time was the best episode of this season thus far

the season finale last season was the best episode of the series

I like how you go and correct the your/you're thing and then don't put an h on the end of yeah, use alot instead of properly making it two words (a lot) and forgot to put an s on questions.

If you're going to correct other people, at least make an attempt to have your own shit in order.

/off topic grammar rant.

The creaters intentionally did it for a "TIVO" moment. They do stuff like that.

Oh and if anyone wants to know, I could post in here which characters are going to die at the end of the season. I unfortunately stumbled upon that bit of information when browsing around.

I dunno if this was posted, but its an interview with Ben

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n0cNk_xT25k

He mentions a hint on how Locke may not die in the Death Pit. He says that "he has a preexisting medical condition that is in his favor though...he gave up smthg long ago that may help him now".

So he's missing a kidney right?

Perhaps the bullet went through where the kindey used to be and if he still had it he would have bled to death??

Yeh...someone on YOUTUBE mentioned though that even if it went to where the kidney was...the kidney is still retroperitoneal so it would have to go through some of his intestines....but I'm no anatomist.

this diagram shows the location of the kidneys in relation to other organs. You can see the outline of the kidneys in the diagram..

If you didn't take into account what show you're watching, and what character it was then yeah, you're an idiot. They're not gonna kill off Locke. Retard.

Locke is the most interesting character on tv. I would be impressed if the writers/producers had the balls to really kill him instead of fakeout/cliffhanger shit.

here's some stuff that I thought of and/or read somewhere else and feel like it should be said in this thread:

-did anyone else think that the mysterious substance surrounding Jacob's house could have been ashes - the kind that may be some sort of trail left by the smoke-monster?

-Maybe Locke couldnt see Jacob because he didnt kill his father like he said he did and hasnt proven himself to the island (or whoever) that he is ready to be shown everything. Ben can see Jacob because he did kill his father.

-Jacob could be Locke (or Locke is the descendent of Jacob) but in a different timeline, which could be why Locke cant see "himself" as that would create some kind of space-time continuum problem. I think that the whole "bad twin" theories may prove that Jacob is John Locke's 'bad twin' and could be a clue as to why Locke heals quickly and can only hear Jacob speak.
http://www.lostpedia.com/wiki/Bad_Twin

"I'm sorry you are so limited you cannot see him."
"Only fools are enslaved by time and space."

I've got more but that is good enough for now

about the dark sand-like substance, it seemed to have a smell to it, locke reacted when he brought it up to his nose, i thought might have been gun powder

definitely not ashes...the "smoke monster" is not the type of smoke that leaves ashes....it is more of a magnetic particles with image capability-type smoke...

i thought it was gunpowder

well whether it was ash from the smoke-monster or not, it is almost definetly NOT gunpowder

from the Lost producers' podcast:

Quote :
"The powdery substance surrounding JACOB's cabin, and seen in his chair, may be volcanic ash.
In combination with other substances, this powder is probably confining JACOB."

^^that's pretty good.

^wtf are you talking about? Are you joking? Transplant from a dead man? I'm guessing they're going to say (already been mentioned) that b/c he's MISSING a kidney, he can survive the bullet wound that would have otherwise been fatal. That also fits with the whole "everything happens for a reason, everthing/everyone is connected in some way, destiny/fate, theme that has been common throughout the series.

yeah, can we please keep the spoilers out of this thread?

I'm pretty sure we're all well aware that they're out there and if you don't know what happens by this point, then it's most likely for a reason.

People shouldn't be forced to avoid TWW for 2 weeks just to not be spoiled.

Yeah, the definition of "spoiler" pretty much says it all. Fuck 'em & keep 'em out of this thread. We need to make sure that shit stops at least before the next season stuff starts to leak.

If you have ever seen the skeleton key or other witch/voodoo flicks then you know already know about the powdery substance that was around jacobs cabin and his chair. Apparently, one can make a "ward" to keep a spirit in or out of an area defined by boundaries of such powdery substance that you lay on the ground. The actual makeup of the powdery substance varies from tale to tale, but its always sulfur/garlic or something like that (smelly, like locke found out in the last episode).
