also I'd think last years success would be his ceiling. his calling card throughout his career has always been good, but not quite good enough for the next level. when he left bc fans were glad to see him go, sure they had a winning team every year but they complained that they always seemed to lose a game against an opponent they shouldnt lose to that would keep them from an outright championship/bcs game ala maryland last year. he's very sendeckian

I cant believe his overall record is .500

when he was hired a lot of people said that he is a football version of Sendek, and they are pretty much spot on. I agree with Saps, his ceiling was what we saw last year.

I like the guy, but if he cant get a solid recruiting class this year, it might be time to move in a new direction before we dig ourselves a 4-5 year hole due to inferior talent

I thought the same thing but he isn't even close to Sendek's level.

5 straight NCAAs > 1-1 bowl record. Guess we will see next week if the guys want him around with their effort.
