the answer has to be the first part of your post
the answer is case insensitive but spelling must match what the bot is looking for even if it is incorrect spelling (there are some mistakes in the question bank).
the dots after the question represent the characters in the answer
the first post with the correct answer after the question when the bot checks for answers gets it. Editing counts in this case, but not editing after the bot declares a winner and is on to the next question.
and the bot will look on the next page if it did not find an answer on the same page the question was posted (again, see spelling and placement above)

I scraped a website of trivia questions and put them in a database.
i've got 350 questions so far and we're through about 60 of them. There's probably 1000 more on the site i scraped.
