What positions do you start? If its 2 RBs, 2 WRs and either a Flex or RB/WR and you could end up starting Richardson, Lynch, and Johnson along with Harving and Green I would make that trade. Plus it improves you at QB.

For now I'd go with Richardson and Gore. If McFadden and Goodson are both out I would give some thought to replacing Gore with Reece. It may be getting to that time of year that the 49ers start trying to rest Gore when they get the chance and the Bears have a stout run D. I've got Goodson starting in one league, but I also don't have a choice.

The last time I didn't start gore because he was playing a tough run d he went, beast mode.

I would still start him over that third stringer.

Also, I don't think SF is going to rest Gore. He's been getting less touches per game all year to keep him healthy. Keep riding him, he's a hoss.

So here's a trade that just went through in our league (we now have the option to vote on it):


Team 1 is 6-4 and currently the #5 seed for a 6 team playoff (very much in the hunt). Team 2 is 2-8 and very much out of it. At times, hasn't even bothered to set a lineup for a gameday.

Team 1 gets Matthew Stafford.
Team 2 gets Jeremy Maclin, Ryan Fitzpatrick and the Patriots DST.

To me, this is an obvious BS trade, esp. considering Team 2 stands to gain next to nothing. Team 1 just picked up Fitz off waivers a day before this trade went through.

One guy emailed the league livid. We have a voting tool in place whereby the league members can veto a trade with 4 votes.

The other kicker in all of this is that Team 1 is the commissioner. I'm not wild about vetoing trades (I trade all the time) but this one doesn't pass the smell test. Thoughts?

Obviously Gore is a better start than "that third stringer" but that "third stringer" has been very active for the Raiders without Goodson/DMC and they are going up against a terrible Saints Defense.

Yes, I'm just saying I would still start gore. I can see the raiders throwing the ball 50+ times against the saints.
Just remember the raiders defense is also awful and the saints will score on them. Oakland will abandon the run, especially with DHB back healthy.

^^ It doesn't seem that terrible of a trade to me. Its basically trading a starting qb for a starting wr. Fitzpatrick just seems thrown in and the patriots d isn't any good. What I consider a bad trade is one that happened earlier in a league I play in. cutler, sidney rice & deangelo williams for matt ryan, jahvid best and a kicker. That was trading a kicker and a guy who will probably never play football again for a worse qb and middling rb and wrn

^^^Yeah that doesn't seem like a great trade, more or less Stafford for Maclin. Maclin probably hasn't been started in 50% or more of the games he's played. I wouldn't be thrilled with that trade, but like ^said, I've seen worse and let them go.

I was most likely premature to say the 49ers would start resting Gore now, espcially considering they don't have that division even close to being locked up. I still think Reece is a good play considering their injury situation and the fact that he is key in the passing game when he is on the field.

Team 1 gives AJ Green #1 WR for Team 2's Josh Freeman. Team 1 is 3-7, Team 2 is 5-5. Team 1 is the commish and Team 2 is her dad. Team 1 already has Cam Newton, so why does it need Freeman, especially at the cost of AJ Green.

Threw out a trade offer a couple of days ago, I give Owen Daniels and get Carson Palmer. Sorta did it to kid around but also to gauge his interest in a trade. Well he ended up accepting it starigth up, Daniels for Palmer. I feel kinda of bad about it and this may be the first veto-worthy trade I've ever been a part of.

I feel like the the Lions strategy is to rest their receivers for the 4th quarter, I can't tell you how many times Titus Young will have 1 or 2 catches through the end of the 3rd and then somehow end up with points...hoping that's the case again
