I just want to point out that if you don't follow the iron sheik on twitter you are missing some of the most insightful commentary you'll ever get on live NBA games.

That first one rimmed out and I was like, "he needed that one...he'll miss them all from here on out."

We should decide which thread is official for finals by playing a game between supports.

Popovich should be punched in the nuts for even thinking about putting Diaw on James.

Yeah, not a good plan there, but they don't really have anyone who can guard him one on one. Leonard is their best bet, but he will foul out if they don't run some other people at Lebron.

Lebron and Tony Parker are the winners of the first step contest

^ nobody can guard him one-on-one, it's just some are better suited to try

Somebody needs to let Norris Cole that the 4th quarter is not the best time to start the Norris Cole show.

if this game is going to continue to follow this script, it's time for Lebron to take over offensively

An impressive FT jinx from Van Gundy on Ray Allen there.

Heat picking a very inopportune time to go cold. Lebron needs to go to the hole on the next couple of possessions.

^^^didn't realize 13 points, FOUR REBOUNDS, and 0-3 from behind the arc was any different than he played against the Pacers

JT3 was the guy who said Bosh would have a good series, and that it was specifically the Pacers who shut him down

he didn't quote himself

also, Parker with the early nod for Finals MVP

Ridiculous shot by Parker... which might not count. I think it was late, but we'll see.

Hoo boy, and it's good, by a fucking cunt hair.

if the rest of the series is anything like Game 1, it deserves to be the highest rated ever

(it won't, ratings-wise)

btw, did anybody see the Jimmy Kimmel pre-game show? He had "Trick Shot Titus" (the baby in the commercial that plays basketball) compete against Shaq in a shooting contest...the 3'0" tall 2-year old shot from I think 6 feet away from a 3-foot goal, and Shaq shot from 18 feet away on a 7'1" goal...Trick Shot Titus won 8-0, and drained his final 6 shots in a row...fucking hilarious

Tony Parker was clutch last night. Huge 4th Q and of course the shot to ice the game. Fucking Bosh sucks dick. Stop playing him big minutes Spolestra. Give some of his minutes to Battier or more minutes to Birdman. Chalmers was garbage too, especially in the 4th Q.

battier would be even more useless. Joel Anthony / Birdman and Norris Cole deserved more minutes.

Bosh is not going do a damn thing. lets stop talking about it until something happens.

I thought the Heat played awful last night (per usual) but at least their three pointer shooters were actually shooting. they spurs and heat both had strong first half and gave up too many points. the heat ran out of gas at the end

Spurs dont ever turn the ball over. hardly ever.

gameplay: let lebron do what he do and let the rest of team try to beat them.

I have the spurs in 5.

it horrifying that Game 2 is a must win. this 2-3-2 structure is awful

If you dont realize kawhi is the star of that team then you dont understand basketball. Hes already inarguably one of the elite players in the nba. Probably top 5 overall.

And dikembe is one of the best centers ever....
