^that website was not what I was expecting for workout wear, lol.

also if you want awesome workout stuff, GAP... gap pure and gap fit are killing it, material is very soft and their shorts and sports bras are perfect.

I had talked myself out of that dress because it was so expensive.

NOW I'm back to talking myself into it. Ramen noodles for dinner for the next 2 weeks????

hmmm, $192? if you wear it enough it can be worth it.

it came down from $500 so that is a pretty good deal, maybe someone with your size can split it with you and you share?

I don't share my clothes

But I go to enough events throughout the year that I would get another wearing out of it

I mean I'll probably order it if I don't find something else I fall in love with first

yea, I can read, but I was just trying to get an understanding of how much you think you will wear it before you don't like it, grow out of it, etc.

you said I have plenty of events that would allow me to use this dress again, so you are going to wear it twice this year?

do you plan keeping it beyond that?

I don't need to justify it past that. I have quite a few dresses in my closet that I've worn once or twice. That's no big deal to me.

I have been seriously jonesing for a pair of teal lined workout shorts for a long time now. I have resisted because I have been trying to put my cash toward other things, but my resolve is getting weaker.

OMG! I love those Armani dresses. I just bought a couple of items at the Armani Exchange here ... the fit is awesome! Will definitely go there more often.

sure I'm losing weight, but that's nothing a good tailor can't take care of

I'm not having surgery and dropping all my weight in like 3 months ya know?

Tailoring is great for dresses and suits.

I unfortunately have a ton of jeans in a wide range of sizes. Ugh. Not really worth it to tailor jeans. They'll never look quite right.

I don't buy in to the whole "I'm not going to buy x because I'm planning on losing weight/getting pregnant/buying new boobs" thing. Because you never know if those things will ever happen, and if they don't, you've put off looking nice for the body you have while you're waiting for a different body to come along.

^depends on what the clothing item is

if you're buying a really expensive dress but you plan on losing weight/being pregnant/whatever..... it is worth taking that into consideration

i'm sure she'll have $200 more at that point in time. guise, it's just a dress. they don't last forever, unless they stay untouched in the back of the closet long enough to be vintage or retro.

^^eh maybe if I bought it at full price

but I'm ok with a formal/cocktail dress at $192 whether I wear it once or 8 times

I paid that much for my dress last year and I've only worn it twice

that's just me though

Even if I was making six figures, I don't think I could drop $200 on dresses on a regular basis unless I had to have them as part of my job.
