this is basically true. the only dress i ever got that didn't feel like complete crap couldn't hold my boobs in. so. fail.

I've got two more dresses I want to get, and if both those bomb I'll be done with them.

First, this for the honeymoon:

and then this, just for whenever(not sure what color though):

Samwise16: didn't you get the soda fountain dress? if you did, how do you like it?

2^ NCSUWolfy: I got it at Macy's.

^It looks similar (and great on you) but I already have a nice red dress, also from Macy's.

It looked so good I got it in black, too.

Hmm, seems as though the soda fountain dress is made by the same company as the ignite the night dress. I think I'll try it out. I'm sending the green dress back and getting that white one first, though.

I got the Coach Tour Dress in Rouge (http://www.modcloth.com/shop/dresses/coach-tour-dress-in-rouge), and I liked it a lot. It was nicely made, a good weight of cotton (not too heavy to wear in summer, but not too breezy for summer with some tights, etc).

I was happy with it - it's on the lower end of the pricing scheme, so I wasn't excepting woven silk, and it's priced appropriately.

I've looked at that one a lot, but I'm not sure how the dress would fit on my shape. I wish modcloth had a store so I could try it on.

all you ladies with your cute short haircuts recently are really giving me the itch. this is me now (and my thumb sucking of a kid...awww):

the last time my hair was "short" was winter 2010. (this is the best i got)

and if i had the balls (and my husband wouldn't freak out) i'd do this:

but i think he'd less likely freak out if i just did something like this:

either short haircut...i would donate what was cut to locks of love.

tell me ladies of TWW...what should i do? help a girl out.

does your hair frizz at all when you let it airdry? i really love the second pic of the girl's hair (where it's wavy - very free-spirited) but i know my hair would turn into something like side show bob than pretty but manageable waves.

Frizz is not a problem, and I usually let my hair airdry anyway.

i would be sad to see it go...

LK- I just chopped mine off too. My hair is pretty curly...So I got it cut to my shoulders. When I straighten it- good and when I air dry it (normal) it's just fun. My friend cut it (who's a hair dresser) and she went nuts with the texturizing (spelling?)and gave me some nice lengths around my face. I have heard so many people down the snippy snippy texturizing technique- but I tell you what, It's given it so much dimension and it's not a flat curl anymore. So far, I dig it a lot. And it takes a lot for me to say that about my hair.

Wow, did i really just type that much about myself? /narcissistic rant

^^

mine's just got a wave to it that i can make more wavy or loose curls just by using mousse.

i do like my hair long...i just find i'm always putting it up nowadays. with my less than stellar stay-at-home-mom attire, i feel like a hair change might make me feel more "put together."

My hair is about an inch away from not having to use 5 clips when in a pony tail. I love short hair and I love long hair. It's that middle area that sucks. So, if you cut all your hair off you have to be willing to suffer through this middle length part. Maybe I should start taking prenatal vitamins to help it grow faster. :-/

I have bought several dresses from Modcloth with exactly the same result. My body shape is pretty standard so most clothes fit me off the rack. But Modcloth dresses always have poor fit, cheap fabrics, and no lining - even on a dress that cost $70!! Sooooo disappointing.

PS ... elise, I have the soda fountain dress in purple. It's OK but I eventually stopped wearing it. The buttons are sooo flimsy and often pop open (and my chest is LITTLE!) and it wrinkles up at the slightest touch. IMO it's not worth the price. For $45 you could go to any department store and buy a dress with a lining and sturdy fabric that you don't have to iron all the time!

honestly any color

as you can see in the pic it will help bright colors pop

if you're scared to veer off too far, stick with the orange/red/yellow family and you'll be fine

I think it looks kind of neutral, but I think it would look nice with a cream colored top or maybe a light pink.

I got my swirly dress today and honestly, i'm a bit disappointed. the fit and everything is perfect but the print placement really sucks. they didn't match the prints on different pattern pieces at all.

yeah, the one the model wears is always made with 10 times more care and precision. modcloth, eshakti, this place, they all fucking do that. jerks. all I'm asking is that the most interesting part of the pattern should be complete in the front of the dress, JHC

That's a great deal! I spent that much on a single cardigan today. But I justify it because I had a gift card, and it was almost sold out, so I couldn't risk waiting for the sale.
