i think this one shows off best how stupid this cut looks

i mean it's similar to my old one but I had it longer in the front and it didn't...... mushroom off the top of my head like that

either way. it's not my current cut so I guess I'm over my initial ragefit

I need help, ladies. I'm totally not a fashionable person but for one of my baby showers, I need help finding shoes to go with my dress. Its a shower being thrown by a very Southern lady so the shower will be very Southern and proper.

This is the dress I got for it from Asos:

What kind of shoes should I look for to wear with the dress? I want them to be flats (if possible). My pregnant feet can't take heels anymore.

I fill out that dress much more than the model

I have her 30 Day Shred DVD. It's definitely a work out. I got through the first ten days and definitely noticed an improvement (wasn't so out of breath, exercises seemed a little easier), but then I went on a 3 day long vacation, and started riding my horse again (he was injured), and figured that was enough exercise for me, haha.

If we're talking weight loss, I have to put in a good word for going the route of the personal trainer. I know that the initial cost can be a little intimidating, but when weighed against the long term costs of obesity -- it's so worth it. It has also really helped my energy level and how I feel about myself. I pay $40 for a weekly session and that accountability has kept me motivated enough to get my butt to the gym 5-6 times a week. While the change in the number of the scale has been small, I'm gaining muscle, endurance, and losing inches. In two months, I've lost 2 dress sizes and I just bought two pair of shoes 1/2 a size smaller than I normally wear.

As a stay at home mom, just going to the gym has been awesome. I get out of the house, see adults, and my kids get to play with their peers in the gym's daycare for an hour or two.

i've heard fantastic things about 30 day shred by jillian michaels.

i follow bodyrock http://www.bodyrock.tv which is a similar style to jillian michaels (high intensity interval training circuits). the bodyrock community is great - they're very supportive via the facebook page.

i do boot camp 3 days a week in Cary (off Kildaire Farm Road near Penny) and i run 1 day a week and usually do a bodyrock or Zuzka Light work out (her website is down while it's being tweaked but you can find her videos via youtube or her facebook page) the other 2-3 days. all free - all done in my living room. they don't believe in using a lot of equipment and stick to more body weight exercises.

I did Jillian's 30 Day shred for 45+ consecutive days last year. I lost a few inches around my waist, thighs, etc. and it helped kick-start me into doing other fitness things (I do crossfit now). I bought both of her shred videos, and I like both of them. However I favor her first video more just because she seems more down-to-earth in it... which I guess is a weird reason to like a fitness video, but whatever.

I'm a big fan and have all the jillian michaels dvds, my favorites are 30 day shred and the yoga meltdown. I definitely like her more than the p90x guy

yeah i dont like the P90X guy AT ALL. oh Tony Horton you don't have a place in my heart

plus i found it hard to keep motivated after a few weeks of doing P90X - it gets repetitive and i needed something i could change up more often.

With all of your positive reviews, I'll give it a shot.

I hope to get back in to power stroll this fall and may even give my Zumba meet up group a shot again if they are meeting in a convenient location.

My gfs LOVE Jillian Michaels' workout videos, particularly 30-day shred. I like Insanity because it's pretty quick, but hardcore. And zumba is a really fun workout... def one of my favorites.

If you're looking for straight weight loss, though, being really careful with your diet is probably the most important part.

I agree, but I would say I'm already pretty good about my diet. Since I stay at home and am on a budget, I prepare all my meals here except for a once weekly splurge on Starbucks. I don't buy frozen lunch meals, don't drink soda, don't eat a lot of canned soups, there's no junk food in the house aside from goldfish, and when I reach for a snack during the day it's usually fruit.

I know I could do better--switch my breakfast to a smoothie again, try to have more salads at lunch, portion control, and cut down on alcohol--and making those changes will certainly help me lose the weight. But aside from chasing around my son and housework I live a rather sedentary lifestyle now. We have a yard now, so I'm not walking my dog twice daily anymore (I know...I'm bad...she needs exercise too). When I worked I never used the elevator and parked at the top level of the deck and worked on the 4th floor. While that wasn't a big workout, those two things and diet helped me stay at a happier weight. I continued that through pregnancy plus yoga & a water aerobics class, and I'm convinced the baby weight fell off so fast was bc i did those things (plus breastfeeding) and had obviously ditched alcohol for 9 months. I was at my lowest weight in years after his birth and had lost inches (no muffin top!)...and now I'm what I was pre-pregnancy plus 10 lbs. Muffin top

I also think just the act of doing something will put me in a better mood and motivate me to keep going.

I can't say I hate it because I've never tried it, but I have never felt any compulsion to do it. All my friends who have done it love it, but I suck at anything that involves coordination, and I don't particularly enjoy dance-type things, so meh. I just pick things up and put them down.

No, I've tried multiple times as my friend has pulled me to several of her classes. I've only liked one of the instructors, and in that instance I felt less like I was doing zumba and more like I was just jumping around for an hour. Plus we stopped to to push-ups and squats a few times.

Today is day 2 with my Diva Cup. After day 1, I was ready to switch back to tampons but the fact that I spent 25 bucks is inspiring me to stay with it.

The first time I removed it, it hurt like a bitch and this morning I was seriously dreading having to empty it. I think I may be sort of figuring it out though. I just wish I had gotten the Lunette cup now because I think that one would be better.

I need some advice.

I got this theory skirt from TJ Maxx (hello $385 skirt for $20). I was surprised that even with my height, it still flows to the ground and moves so beautifully. I couldn't resist.

I know my time is running out to wear it (I don't see this being a fall skirt whatsoever). What would YOU pair it with?

Ah, well, there if you live anywhere near a TJ Maxx with a Runway, that's where I got it. I can't remember seeing any blush tones.. saw some BCBG Max black ones..

Oh, here's a blush one from BCBG! http://amzn.com/B00775SHME It exists! But it's $218..

What would you pair it with Diva? Simple tank like the model above?

yeah that's not a "summer" white so you can take it well into fall and winter if you choose

I would keep my top simple...I like the whole "high/low" style. Then throw on a fab necklace to jazz it up at times.

cute, kind of hard to tell what it would look like straight though.

I've decided I'm going to cut mine off since I'd have to wear it up for clinicals anyway.

Might go back to this style. Decisions, decisions.

It would probably just look like a normal bob when straight... Ive been wearing it curly more since its so damn humid here
