I bought some of those. They came out of the shoes when I was walking. I fail at girl stuff.

The heel grips should have a sticky side so they adhere to the shoe and don't fall out. Mine are usually super sticky so much so that you can't adjust them after you've put it in. I'm surprised yours came out.

I don't remember what brand they were, but I got them from target. They were sticky on one side, and I stuck that side to the shoe at night and the next day I wore the shoe to my friend's wedding at the courthouse and we walked around downtown some and they were fabulous at first, then I noticed my heels were bleeding and took my shoe off and saw they were gone.

I use Foot Petals

http://www.footpetals.com/event/page/pageCode/women/categoryCode/Foot-Petals-Women

They're super sticky and don't move at all. They are great!! My favorite pumps went from unwearable to bearable!

I just thought I had deformed heels and would always have to wear shoes with a strap to keep them on my foot. thanks

Every pair of pumps I own have the heel grips. I like the ones that DSW sells. They've always worked well.

I'm torn. It's ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS short. But you also have probably the prettiest long hair I've ever seen on a non-professional hair modeler person.

[Edited on August 23, 2012 at 9:33 PM. Reason : I think YOU will like short hair a lot more though, so that tips the scales!]

I feel like this is coming off not how I meant it. Your short hair is beautiful. You are just blessed with having good hair at whatever length.

thank you on both accounts. (and you edited, but what you said came off fine! again...thank you. )

so far i really really love it. and the facial expression of justin when i got home was one that said, "i know i'm supposed to hate it b/c i didn't want you to go short, but i kinda like it......that'll do."

I really love it! Short and long! Is your hair naturally like that?

My hair is about the same length as yours was but since my hair is naturally curly/frizzy in the summer I've just been wearing it in a bun or in a braid I wish I could control the frizz/wavy without wearing it up

went to Lazy Daze yesterday and probably spent 20 minutes in this girl's booth. She's an artist out of Charleston, and I'm in love with her bags. Want!

Went on a little shopping spree at Ulta today. There's a great 20% discount going on right now! Got the following items:

Armani Aqua Di Gioia perfume
RapidLash, an eyelash growth serum (OTC Latisse, minus the eye-darkening side effect)
Too Faced lash extension mascara

And they did my makeup. Sigh. I love the power of a good makeup artist!

Curious as to what perfumes y'all wear. And what y'all prefer on men.

For me: Armani Aqua Di Gioia and Dolce & Gabana Light Blue
On men: Armani Aqua Di Gio and Burberry Brit

If I'm going to wear perfume, I wear a variety of Masaki Matsushima ones (I have M for women, Yellow Mat, Orange Mat)

I also have Clinique Happy Heart and Banana Republic Alabaster

I barely wear any of them, which is partially why I still have so much of each

Haven't really smelled any colognes I was crazy about

I don't think it's weird. That's how my wife is, and that is fine with me since I've never really been a cologne type of guy myself.

oh man there is nothing i hate more than when i am running at the lake and get a giant whiff of a perfume or cologne. it's gotten to the point when i can tell if some girl is wearing Baby So Soft.

i LOVE that perfume.

i only have a few perfumes and if i wear anything its Donna Karen's Cashmere Mist. and it's rare i wear perfume - usually only if we're going out somewhere. my husband wears some Chanel cologne i got him which smells nice but i am not picky about what he wears. whatever smells good

I like the smell of my fiance's deodorant but if we are doing something special or he shaves he wears D&G light blue. Smells fantastic.

I don't wear perfume. Sometimes I wear body spray that matches my deodorant, most recently cool cucumber.

When I was working at the gem mine in hiddenite I started using this awesome smelling fruity body wash, but I got stung by a yellow jacket ATLEAST once a day. took me 5 days to figure it out, threw that shit away and never got stung again.

true story.

local ladies - i am thinking of hitting up some thrift stores in raleigh this weekend and was poking around on yelp and wanted to get any opinions on places i might have missed or should check out/avoid.

i looked at the yelp reviews and came up with 4 - thoughts?

Dress - next to whole foods on wade avenue (supposed to be a mix of new stuff under $100 and consignment stuff)

Revolver - Glenwood South

Nora and Nicky's - Falls of the Neuse next to Fresh Market (supposed to have really nice designer consignment - lots of nice things said about the owner Cathy)

Fifi's - Cameron Village (i've popped in here before when i had 15 minutes to kill - wanted to go back and really check it out)

i probably will only have time to check out 2 stores on friday and 2 stores on sunday. i also follow their facebook pages so i can see some of the stuff they get in and whatnot.

^ Adore is a good place, too. They have two locations, although I've only been to the Cary one. I'm betting the Raleigh store might actually have more selection since it's bigger.

elkaybie your short haircut is sooooo cute!! It looks great! Did it take any blow drying, etc to look like that? Can you still put it in a ponytail? (I'm thinking about going short for the first time in years)

^ & ^^ thanks!

the photo I posted is her styling...she put some stuff in it (smelled like candy...not sure the name of the gel or anything), twisted up some pieces and pinned it, then plopped me under a heated dryer for a bit. when i style it myself, i've done my usual curling mousse and let it air dry. i may add rusk styling gel for texture once it's dry or the following day. i will probably diffuse it if i'm really feeling up to styling it.

i can't put it in a pony tail. i could do two tiny pig tails and have a bit of a mud flap on my neck, but that's it. i actually really like not being able to put it up. i feel less sloppy

Ok ladies.. super desperate at this point. I finally have narrowed down the look I'm going for for the bridesmaids' shoes, but it looks like they all went on sale and are now being discontinued. Now I can't find anything with a chiffon/ruffle on the toe in everyone's sizes:

to go with a short canary crinkle chiffon dress. I need sizes 5.5, 5.5, 6, 7.5.

want to keep the color of the shoe to grey, ivory, taupe

UPDATE: a bridesmaid just gave the idea of shoe clips. D'oh! I should have thought of that. Any good websites out there for those?
