how many people do you think on party do you think use PT?
i mean this weekend was the first time in probably a month and a half ive played nl on party..
and i cant get any fucking action to save my life.
this week though, i started up a new pokerroom skin accnt, and my same style of play was getting all sorts of action.
its frustrating to have had all 9/10 times dealt AA or KK be folded around for a 3x big blind raise.
(except the 1/10 time where i got called by a maniac who flopped a monster on me) 7/30/2005 3:30:21 PM |

yeah with 3 hands left to fufill the first portion of the bonus, i was at a 200nl room with AcKc,
flop the nut flush, only to have been rerereraised allin by bottom set (3's) on the flop who proceeded to quad up on the turn.
=(
i was getting ready to cash a $600 profit too, before that hand knocked me down to $400 profit. should have been $800 =/

w00t w00t!
I didn't actually knock Cloutier out, but 3rd was a nice finish though. I did take a pretty bad beat on the last hand to go out... if I'd won the hand, I would've been chip leader, and the 3rd guy would've barely been able to cover the big blind. I'd raised preflop with QcTc (3 handed remember), and got called by the BB with J9. flop was QJx. He checked, I bet 10,000 into about a 10,000 pot... he reraised all in (another 17,000 or so), and I called... he had J9... 9 on the river.
3rd paid $4200, 2nd would've been $6100 and 1st $10,600 though... oh well.
I'm playing the "main event" at the Orleans today (Sunday)... $1k buy in and there may be 500+ players... should be a huge prizepool.7/31/2005 6:43:38 AM |

Anyone ever notice certin hands that always seem to hit a flop? These 3 hands work on pokerroom roughly 75% of the time:
A2 36 Q10
Sadly the 36 may be the strongest.... I've never seen a hand boat up more when i play it. Does this happen on a lot of sites with particular combos of cards? 8/1/2005 9:30:57 PM |

I have my list of beats here.... My KOs from s/g tourneys from the last 3 weeks.
I've been KOed with a PP or A-Face by: A2 8 times 36 2 times.... but a 3 never comes w/o a 6
I've been KOed by Q10 when i had a random hand (Face cards or Ax) 7 times
And i was just postulating a question. 75% was just a random #. Sorry if I once again offended the poker gods of TWW.

DrOldSchool.
If you really beleive that a sample size consisting of less than 20 instances is substantial, you need some more study. I dont mean to be condescending or whatever...
but before you make the assertation that one of the largest sites on the internet is juiced towards specific hands, id like to see some concrete proof. 8/1/2005 10:54:14 PM |
DrOldSchool All American 2221 Posts user info edit post |
I wasn't asserting it's rigged. I only have certian hands I track - hence your small sample problem. But common perception is easy to see... It seems like they show/win a lot. period. I was simply asking if anyone else saw crazy hands like that. That's all. 8/1/2005 10:58:34 PM |

Well I came in 2nd at Ria Ra's yesterday and the day before I finished 4th at another tavern and then lost my chip lead to finish 2nd at a cash game (fucker playing K2 and cathing two more 2's, of course im going to call an all in holding KK).
What I particulary liked about yesterday was one of my earlier plays. I was a big stack at the table and this guy was playing pretty tight most of the time. He then out of the blue puts $1000 on top of the $200 blinds. I put him on really high cards, and if a pocket pair KK or QQ, or AK. I look down at 7d 6d and call, planning on getting the hell out if the flop comes anything 9 or higher.
Flop comes 7something Ksomething 6something. Here is what gets me...he goes all in. Now I understand why he would want to go all in but I consider it a huge mistake and pretty much a bad play. He neglected to think about why I called. I could be holding pocket 7's or 6's, hell I could have KK calling a raise pre-flop like that.
Not to mention I had him covered and if I lost it wouldnt have been a huge dent in my stack at all. Of course I call and flip over my two pair and the guys is like " you gotta be shittin' me". I tried to explain to him my reason for calling but he wouldnt hear it. Won the hand and he stomped away pissed. I dont think I made a bad play considering my logic but any other opinions out there that would help clarify any mistakes would be great. Thanks 8/2/2005 2:34:11 PM |

well, that means you DIDN'T have position, if he was playing super tight, and you felt you could move him off a hand if he didn't like the flop then i would've still played it, depends on the feel of the game though
