just curious because ive not had too much exp prior to halo3 in terms of multiplayer online games etc


but i just played a match were one guy in particular would be definitely out of melee/sword attack range of me...and we would engage, and all the sudden he would just do like a "super-lunge" move and get me from about two to three times the distance a normal melee/sword attack would work

and it was gay

is this something im not aware of or am i just a terrible player.

but the game itself ran really smooth...maybe i just dont fully understand how lag works

generally when ive experienced lagging in halo3, theres all kinds of weird shit going on...

Sometimes in online games if the lag is just on another person's end, they'll be doing things that seem impossible and jumpy, but besides them the game runs just fine. If everyone but you is doing this, then it's probably something on your end.

well, the other gay part of the game was it was slayer and two of our guys left at the beginning and it was on construct, which is one of my least favorite levels

haha, me and 3 of my friends were just playin on social and we were just fuckin around. We've had like 6 or 7 beers a piece so we were betrayin each other and shit. After the game(we lost obviously) the kids we played were like "omg, you guys suck, try again"......so we leave and invite them to play another one, this time seriously. They accept and continue to talk shit. First game.......we win 50-38. 2nd game.......50-40. Game over, told em to fuck off, and continued with our drinking. Best, games, ever.

I think I'm gonna quit Halo. Last night matchmaking was lagging like hell. I played 7 matches. Won the first 2 with ease. Out of the following 5 I think I was only able to finish 1 or 2. Every game, my connection strength was always in the red (I verified my connection was working just fine). Usually 1 or 2 people were effected by this each game. The game would freeze for 5-10 seconds, then everything jumped around for another second or 2 and then everyone (except the ones with the poor connection strength) would have accumulated several kills.

I got disconnected from most of the games, though I NEVER lost my connection to xbox live. Every time I got disconnected from a game I checked to make sure my connection was working properly and it tested >7mbps every time. I don't know what was going on but it makes the game impossible to play.

i cannot figure out what the metrics for the skill are

ive been playing at an 8/9 for a while now, and lately ive been getting better and racking up solid games with severely positive K/D ratios and medals...and yet i still move down. can this have something to do with the teams im playing with? kind of gay if you're carrying your team and you dont get credit for it

one time a few weeks ago i was playing team slayer and ended up everyone on the other team dropped but one guy, who was like skill level 37 or something...and we're all 8/9s

he almost beat all 4 of us by himself

^That's not saying much, he'd have a huge advantage in team slayer with 4-on-1 unless you all were better than him. I mean you can only kill him so fast and unless you guys worked well as a team he could easily get 1 of you before he died every time and keep it close.

Team Slayer is the easiest way to accumulate points I do believe. Lone Wolf is quite fun as well but very inconsistent.

ha, i just played a game on heroic with a bunch of 45-50s and i was definitely killing dudes on the other team....probably had like 8-10 kills, but NONE of them registered...even though on my screen it would say "you killed xxxxxxxxx"

they were so pissed cause they thought i was just playing with myself in the corner
