McNabb vs Atl
or
Delhomme vs Arizona
?
Also I need to pick up a WR since both Marshall and Driver are out. Should I look into a Jags WR since Jones will be out this weekend? 10/21/2008 11:33:56 AM |

dammit, I got a tough decision...
I am loaded at RB
AP Chris Johnson Turner Rhodes Graham
and need a WR.
I might be able to get Steve Smith for either Turner or Johnson... which should I trade?
its a PPR league, and from first glance their remaining schedules are about even.
Turner gets more TD chances, but CJ is more explosive and Turner seems to be able to be shut down by good defenses... but CJ splits carries more with White than Turner does with Norwood 10/21/2008 2:00:13 PM |

As for CJ or Turner, it depends what you can get from him. If you can get a good value from Turner...trade him, but he's got the potential to win you a few games...
CJ just gets vultured from too much for my taste, and he'll never score more points than he did this week again....sell high! 10/21/2008 2:50:28 PM |

Trade Johnson. Turner was the #1 RB a few weeks back and has much more potential. Hell, always choose a starting RB instead of a RB by committee. 10/21/2008 4:15:34 PM |

Okay which two WR do I start?
Reggie Wayne @Tenn (tough def) starter most likely Wes Welker Vs STL VJack @NO (Dome) Breaston @Car Gage vs Ind (Hurt though)
I'm thinking Wayne and VJack or Welker? But Breaston is an option too on a high scoring team. Thanks 10/21/2008 5:43:39 PM |

I would play Breaston if Boldin doesnt go this week
if he does, I'd probably go with Welker
and, the SD/NO game is being played in London..I dunno if its gonna be a dome or not 10/21/2008 6:23:28 PM |

Alright everybody, looking for a little bit of help:
In my league we start 1 RB 1 RB/WR and 2 WRs. Which players should I start:
At RB I have: Brian Westbrook vs Atl Ernest Graham vs Dallas Deuce McAllister vs San Diego Dominic Rhodes vs Tennessee
At WR I have: Fitzgerald vs. Carolina Vincent Jackson vs New Orleans Braylon Edwards vs Jax Dwayne Bowe vs Jets.
Another quick question: With Cutler on the bye I need to pickup a fill-in quarterback, who is the better play:
Jt O'sullivan vs Seattle or David Gerrard vs Cleveland
Thanks ahead of time for answers.

Carolina is actually 2nd against the pass.....if Boldin plays I think you have to sit Breaston.
And Cassell over Pennington because the Bills are actually pretty good. 10/22/2008 1:15:58 AM |

Yeah the STL secondary was bad at the beginning of the year and they've since lost starters. STL has a decent front 4 with Leonard Little back and Chris Long coming on strong and Witherspoon leading the LB-core, but their secondary is the weakness. 10/22/2008 8:32:16 AM |

Pick 2 RB:
Earnest Graham @ Dal Sammy Morris vs. StL Duece McAllister vs. SD Joseph Addai @ Ten Correll Buckhalter vs. Atl
Pick 1 DEF:
Pittsburgh vs. NYG San Diego @ NO Oakland @ Balt Houston vs. Cinci San Fran vs. Sea 10/22/2008 9:41:41 AM |

^for your 2 RBs, I would say 2 of either Morris/Deuce/Buckhalter
for defense I'd probably go Oakland
V maybe...i like Graham, and the Cowboys seem to be falling apart, but I like the Morris and Buckhalter matchups against week run defenses (unless Westbrook is back for Philly), and Reggie Bush is out so Deuce will be the man, and Addai is still out so Dominick Rhodes will get Indy's carries

Westbrook should be back so buckhalter would be a sit.
I'd go Morris/Duece unless westbrook is out again, in which case I'd go Buckhalter/Duece
I don't think you would go too wrong playing Graham for Morris if Dunn is out. I'm not a fan of New England's 4 RB system as far as fantasy goes and I think Duece would have been a decent play even with Bush. Now that Bush is out, Duece should light it up against SD.
I'd also go Pitt for the D

TO & Deuce for Roddy White?
I've got a feeling TO is going to be pretty mediocre with Brad Johnson at the helm (probably next 2 weeks) and then he has a BYE in week 10. I know i'd be giving up a lot in Deuce for the next 3 weeks, but he is currently my slot... and I have some decent fill-ins. Thoughts? 10/22/2008 9:47:59 AM |
jocristian All American 7527 Posts user info edit post |
You'd be giving away TO pretty damn cheap IMO. I'd see if you can get White for TO straight up. 10/22/2008 9:50:45 AM |
LapDragon101 All American 1034 Posts user info edit post |
^ I think you can do better than just Roddy however he is having a great year. TO is still guaranteed to have balls thrown his way even with Brad Johnson at the helm. Deuce may be great the rest of the year, injuries tend to impact fast dynamic runners like Reggie, so he might not be the same after he returns.
I need a defense this week. Should I pick up The Niners with a new def head coach vs Sea without Hasselback and a banged up crew? or The Raiders vs Baltimore who usually doesn't score many points? 10/22/2008 9:58:16 AM |
TreeTwista10 minisoldr 148450 Posts user info edit post |
^^^why would you even trade TO straight up for Roddy White? I wouldn't touch that trade, unless I was giving up White and getting TO and Deuce
^I'd say Oakland but I agree San Fran will come to play this week

Eli has a better o-line and probably won't get sacked as much as Warner. Plus I think the Giants beat the steelers whereas Warner will be pressured all day and make his typical mistakes when pressure is applied. 10/22/2008 1:19:53 PM |

Call me crazy, but I like Orton better than Favre this year.
I'm guessing this is a 2 QB league or some shit and orton has a bye? You know, it's really hard to give advice on non-standard leagues without some preface.
^^^Colston. Sure, he looked awful last game, but I think he returns to form against the porous Chargers pass D. He could only get a few points, but his upside in this one is too high to sit him IMO.
