the sad part is ... even with this amazing season, if TX and OK win out this loss basically eliminated them from a BCS bowl with the 2 team rule since OK and TX wont finish 1/2 unless something VERY drastic happens

Another example of why if you are gonna lose a game you better do it early in the season like Florida did. Had this game happened in week 3 and texas tech beats texas and oklahoma state at the end of the year they are in the discussion. Losing late like this pretty much means they are outta the BCS entirely now. As others have said it may be true Texas beat Oklahoma head to head but Oklahoma is gonna get the better press after this game and will likely jump them especially if they beat a very good Oklahoma State next week.

I know that no one is watching this WVU - Pitt game. But WVU should've let Pitt score with about 2 minutes left when they were within the 5 yard line with no timeouts instead of letting Pitt run off another minute + so there's only 52 seconds left.
