Didn't hear anything back and I saw the post saying you probably wouldn't be able to play til Thursday so I said fuck it. And I'm about to to give that guy the boot instead of leaving him on auto.

The Tide barely squeaks by conference rival Arkansas 20-17 needing a 22yd field goal as time expired to pull out the victory. Bama failed to score in the redzone at the end of the first half when the receiver failed to get out of bounds allowing the clock to run out and also missed a 49yd field goal with 2 min to go in the game. Down 17-10, Arkansas drove down the field and punched it in with only 30 seconds to go. Junior receiver Julio Jones dropped a wide open pass which could've been costly but Star Jackson looked his way again on the next play for a huge 52yd completion putting them in field goal range. Junior running back Mark Ingram finished the game with 109 yds on 23 carries and 1 TD and moved Alabama into position for what was nothing more than a PAT. After missing his previous field goal attempt Freshman kicker Nathan Green sealed the game with no time left.

After the game Saban noted that his team did well on the road, only allowing 255yds of total offense and finally having a turnover free game. He wasn't very happy with his oline though which was called for 10 penalties and said that 65yds in penalties would be unacceptable when the Gators invade Tuscaloosa.

A LOOK AHEAD: The Tide moves to 4-0 (2-0 in conference) and puts their undefeated streak on the line against the Florida gators. Expect the Gators to blow through kentucky this week and to come into Tuscaloosa with the Tennessee loss still on their mind. Alabama will need to continue to play turnover free football and minimize their penalties if they want to remain perfect. The schedule doesn't get any easier after Florida as they still have to play Ole Miss and FSU at home and travel to Knoxville and Death Valley.

Not the prettiest game ever, but NC State guts out a win with solid defense, some mistakes made by TJ Yates, and sticking with the running game. Tom O'Brien says "We weren't a pretty football team out there today, but a solid effort from our kids and another clear statement that we have the best program in the State." Butch Davis hurls his headset at Yates after his QB threw the game sealing pick 6 to Jimmaul Simmons in the final minutes.

Curtis Underwood leads the way with 28 carries for 158 yards. Brandon Barnes and Colby Jackson each rush for a TD. Glennon was unspectacular but did just enough to free up the running game, 10-22 153 yards on the day.

The Pack prepare for a tough trip to Atlanta to face Paul Johnson's unconventional Yellow Jacket flexbone offense.
