they are expecting to have the most on Monday the 18th

thats why they are calling it Monday Madness

Bestbuy, Circuit City, Ebgames,Target, Toysrus, Walmart will be having the most so far on Monday\

the only one on sunday is gonna be like sears and maybe one other store with just a few in stock

I LOATHE friend codes. I mean Xbox Live! is so far and beyond everything in terms of console online implementations its not even funny.

If nintendo did away with friend codes (and at LEAST not having to do a 2 way add/input), added some global leaderboards/points, and started adding online games then perhaps they'll be a player.

I like the Wii but I'm worrying about it's online potential - do you know if they have plans to roll out something more sophisticated than the DS online code?

No clue. I just read that at IGN's preview. I agree that friend codes should die a horrible, horrible death. It's all a bunch of bullshit to avoid liability if some pedophile/murderer convinces a kid to come over to play Pokemans with him. It makes it virtually impossible to build any kind of online community. Voice chat isn't in the game either.

There's also a wireless sensor bar available now. Look amateurish, but IGN says it gets the job done.

Damn, this surprises the heck out of me. I expected anyone who wanted a system to be able to grab on on launch. Now, several weeks later, I still can't find a second system for a Christmas gift. I drove around all this morning trying to find one but the lines were long as hell. I arrived at the Cary Target to see a line larger than it was on launch day. There had to be 60-80 people waiting in line, and the store only had 15.

Yeah me too, that's because demand is OVERWHELMING.

Honestly, I've got one - and it's cool....but not worth all the hype (yet). I do though totally eat crow with all my talk about availability at launch / wouldn't be a problem to just walk in a store and get one. Very wrong about that. Doh

Yeah, I'll admit I was wrong about it too. I wonder what happened. Before launch the numbers Nintendo were spouting were a planned 1 million on Launch day and 3 million (4 million total) before Christmas. Going by those numbers there's no way there would be a shortage. And up until that point everyone was reporting that Nintendo was actually ahead of schedule for production.

I really wonder what happened. There's no way that they've put out 3 times as many units since launch than were available on that day. Especially when hearing about this supposed 2nd launch today only had 1/4 as many available units as launch day.

so a "hack" is coming that you load in the photo gallery so you can play burned games? How do you burn the games? Is it software that is permanently loaded on your Wii, or do you load it every time you want to play a burned game?
