Ok so I am curious I still have not had a chance to go The Dark Knight (just to busy with work) but is it really that great of a movie? I mean I really haven't heard many negative things about it other than the fact that its like 2 an a half hours long.

^Well it's pretty great. But the thing that is most interesting to me is that at least according to IMDB, Morgan Freeman is the single most important thing to making a great movie.

Also, I think that the whole cast did a great job of hyping this movie by saying that Ledger should win the Oscar. Was it Oscar worthy? IMO no. Bale probably did the best acting job there with Freeman and Oldman bringing up the rear. But, it was still a great job by Heath.

i think the voice change b/w bruce wayne and batman is necessary in this movie. it's a lot more real than the older ones w/ jack nicholson and to make it more realistic (and not have people he knows identify him by his voice), he's got to change his voice somehow.

it did sound a little over the top in some parts though.

i think heath ledger did an amazing job with the joker but i don't think his performance was any more spectacular than christian bale's or aaron eckhart's.

According to "how stuff works" there is a voice changer in the throat part of his batsuit that changes the voice for him... that's why it sounds like that when he is talking to them.

all i am saying is that Bale had to go in and out of being batman, bad bruce and good bruce, and he pulled off playing those three different characters flawlessly. Heath did a good job and came off scary at points and comicall at others; they both did well.

I actually did not. I actually believed that they killed Gordon off, and I thought it was a really stupid thing to do. I was like "srsly? How can you have Commissioner Gordon if he's dead?" But given how relevant Gordon is to the Batman-verse, I should have suspected that he was actually faking it.
