Detroit is currently tearing it up (point wise), however it seems hard to keep it up.
Tenn seems like they have a much better D than expected. (holding Indy to low ~21)
Oak seems fairly solid.
Any other thoughts? 10/2/2007 8:53:11 PM |

I'd say either OAK or TEN
DET has been balling but they're gonna have to do more for me to be sold on them 10/2/2007 8:55:28 PM |

Rudi Johnson is out this week with a bye.... who should I fill his spot with ( I can use either wideouts or running backs) Ron Dayne vs Miami Kevin Jones vs Washington Bobby Engram vs Pitt Vincent Jackson vs Denver 10/3/2007 1:14:18 AM |

I have Engram and he has been steady for me. He has gotten at least 6 points in every game and has gotten me 12 the past 2 weeks. 10/3/2007 1:30:44 AM |

Do you think that Dominic Rhodes will have fantasy value when he comes back in Week 6, or should I handcuff Fargas? I know the whole L. Jordan back issue is going to be huge for owners. 10/3/2007 11:21:52 AM |

^no telling...if Pittman or Graham are available for Tampa I'd take them before either Rhodes or Fargas, simply because we already know Cadillac is out for the year...Jordan should be back after the bye week
if Pittman and Graham are gone this won't help, but its my perspective 10/3/2007 11:23:29 AM |

I think it's time to give up on the Jackson's...
V Jackson has not done squat even against KC. They have a tough road ahead as well.
B Jackson needs more time and now with Morency back it's time to let him go.
So who do I pick up at WR to replace V Jackson? R White, M Jenkins, B Jones, James Jones, M Furrey, B Stokley?
And for B Jack - Fargas, Maurice Morris, Aaron Stecker?
Thanks. 10/3/2007 11:34:04 AM |

Roddy White would be my bet. He has been getting consistant looks and TD catches over the past 3 games. He is slowly securing his role.
And I am not the only one:
Quote : | " Roddy White, Atl, WR – Teammate Michael Jenkins (2 TDs) stole the limelight in Week 4, but White continued to figure prominently in the Atlanta passing game, picking up 64 receiving yards on Sunday. Over the past three weeks, White rates as a top 15 fantasy receiver. " |

In a keeper league that starts 2 quarterbacks.
I had 4 on my roster: Leinart, McNabb (bye), Culpepper (bye), Tav. Jackson (bye)
Frerotte (starting in place of bulger this week, and possibly next week) is available as FA, and Kurt Warner is on the waiver wire.
Which should i attempt to pick up?
Not sure on how Frerotte will produce, but I'm really not sure about having a Warner, Leinart rotating QB tandom to lean on. 10/3/2007 12:55:23 PM |

Rumor has it that Mewelde Moore (Minn) might be trade to the Bucs. His value would go up alot if he does. Is he worth a pick up?? If you have a spot open it wouldn't hurt. 10/3/2007 1:11:02 PM |
V0LC0M All American 21263 Posts user info edit post |
Frerotte has no O-line left hence the reason Steven Jackson is out with a groin tear and Bulger has 2 broken ribs
And agreed on the Kurt Warner issue, he is not a viable option
who else is available in your league? 10/3/2007 1:38:15 PM |

I'm not wild about Warner either but I'd take him over Leinhart...you'd obviously only prefer to have either Edge, Boldin or Fitz and no other Cardinals but I like Warner more than Leinhart fwiw 10/3/2007 1:42:52 PM |

Only one available (that is projected to start) is Frerotte. I could drop Leinart for Warner(although I'm not completely ready to totally give up on Leinart). I'm leaning towards just picking up Frerotte for this week (hoping he just accounts for positive pts), because I will have McNabb, Culpepper, Jackson (nothing impressive so far) coming back for the rest of the year with no byes. 10/3/2007 1:52:11 PM |

You act as if KC's defense is shitty. Plus V Jax dropped an easy TD on a nicely thrown ball by Rivers. If he had caught that, you wouldn't consider dropping him.
He still has value because SD is going to start playing better so if you really want to get rid of him, try and move him in a trade.10/3/2007 2:17:41 PM |

who to start, Brees who has blown ass all year against the Panthers, or Favre with a great year so far against an underachieving Bears defense 10/3/2007 2:35:08 PM |

I'm playing Brees in my league...if he does well, good for my fantasy team...if he sucks, good for my Panthers
I'd play Favre though 10/3/2007 2:37:37 PM |

So yeah my QB situation is pretty rough right now and McNabb on BYE isn't helping, haha.
Start 2 of the 3:
Jeff Garcia (current starter) Damon Huard (current starter) Trent Edwards
and then I could get Frerotte if I really wanted to, but with no SJ and a patch-work OL, I'm not really thinking he'll be a great play. 10/3/2007 4:10:57 PM |

Why would you even consider benching Favre unless you had Brady or Romo? Honestly this is an easy choice until either Brees heats up or Favre cools down.10/3/2007 6:28:54 PM |

Obviously this was supposed to be funny, but in reality V-Jax is better than people on here are giving him credit for. Even with the Chargers struggles, he has 3 straight 50+ yd games and should have two TDs in that same stretch (his TD drop last week was ridiculous).
He is not a #1 or #2, but he has value as a #3 receiver and once Norv Turner gets his head out of his ass and gives LT the ball 25-30 times, the Charger passing game will improve.10/3/2007 10:24:18 PM |

Thanks to bulger being out I need a new QB. I have Cutler on the bench, but also Schaub, Harrington, Garrard are the top 3 QB's available. Recommendations? 10/4/2007 11:09:04 AM |
TreeTwista10 minisoldr 148450 Posts user info edit post |
all 3 could be decent
I have Garrard in both of my leagues...he doesn't have to worry about Leftwich, he's rushing for about 50 yards a game, and Jacksonville has already had its bye week 10/4/2007 11:10:40 AM |

^^Schaub or Harrington. Schaub esp. when Andre Johnson gets healthy. Harrington is also showing some signs of a good fantasy option too.
Cutler has the Bolts this week. Harrington has the Titans. Schaub has the Fins.
Also, keep Holcomb as an option esp. if the passing game for the Vikes tends to improve.

well Ben has been solid...dropping Bulger or not will kind of depend on your other needs, and the best way to fill your roster
also what do you think the chances of somebody else picking up bulger in your league will be? if everybody else is set at QB, maybe you can drop him and be abe to pick him up in another week 10/4/2007 12:49:33 PM |

Need opinions on a potential trade.
I have Bulger and just picked up Warner and Culpepper...needless to say, I have major QB problems.
I'm proposing Tom Brady for Chad Johnson and either Travis Henry/Frank Gore/Rudi Johnson/Jamal Lewis.
Which RB should I try to offer first..? I was leaning towards Rudi Johnson, personally.
My WR's that are left is Randy Moss, Javon Walker, and Hines Ward. Walker and Ward are both dealing with injuries right now.
Should I even pull the trigger for this trade, or am I having to give up too much..? I've been screwed the last two weeks because of poor QB play and would have won if Bulger wasn't getting 1 and 3 points respectively. I don't know if I can count on Warner or Culpepper to bring any sort of production, since Warner is fighting for time with Leinart and Culpepper is trying to prove himself over McCown and Russell.
My WR's aren't very healthy either, and I may lose potential points if my guys can't bounce back from injury. I think Carson Palmer likes throwing to TJ Whosyourdaddy better and I figured I'd try to sell Chad high.
