i figured the accounted for this by just having those 3 on a separate prisoner sub. perhaps the reason they had so many subs when the DI was leaving but only 1 sub in 2004.

You have to keep in mind that for everyone who went back in time, it is their actual present and not their past. They can die and all of that and it doesn't change anything. At least from what has been explained so far.

Re-watch Faraday's conversation with Jack two weeks ago where he explains "this is our present. Anyone one of us can die here. Did I have a scar on my neck when I met you?".

From Faraday's perspective: he was born around 1977, grew up, went to Oxford, did research, was hired by Widmore, went to the island, skipped through time, ended up in 1974, went to Ann Arbor to learn about the island and the DI, returned, was shot, died.

Birth ~30 years ago --> 2005 --> 1954 --> 1974 --> 1977 --> dead

So, he died after traveling through time to the period after his mother became pregnant with him.

From the perspective of someone like Alpert, who has been on the island since at least 1954:

A grown Faraday shows up in 1954, checks out the bomb and disappears. Then Faraday shows back up in 1977, looking the exact same and is shot by Ellie. 30 years later, Faraday again shows up, still looking the exact same, this time on the freighter.

From Faraday's perspective, everything in the preceding paragraph happened within a three year time span.

yeah, I just finished reading a little interview with the actor who plays Ben and he says there are two big "gamechangers" in the finale that will have fans "eating their souls" until the next season begins.

I used justin.tv last week. I've tried it before and it's kind of hit and miss. The channel I used last week aired the episode commercial free about 30 minutes after the actual broadcast. There are also links on atdhe.net that air it live, but I've never used them, so I can't vouch for their quality.

I think the justin.tv channel I used last week was jackedlost or lostjacked or something. I'll be able to tell you when I get home this evening.

my predictions for the finale:
- it will be revealed that jacob originally killed christian, because locke was similarly murdered before he was transported on the ajira flight.
- kate doesn't want jack's plan to go through, because kate is preggers with jack's baby. if jack succeeds in changing the past, he'd prevent them from ever having met up. also, kate being preggers would mirror claire being preggers on the original flight.

that's all i've got so far. i'm very excited because i don't have any idea of what's going to go down tonight, and i think the gamechanger(s) are going to be huge. also, we're going to get a better idea of the endgame in season six.
