same thing as a slow whistle/advantage in lacrosse or soccer. whenever the opposing team has momentum, the puck/ball, whatever they let the play continue until it ends. In soccer it is more clear cut, has to actually be a clear advantage or goal scoring opportunity. But in Hockey its generally until the team gives up the puck. You ever see the offensive team pull their goalie in hockey when the defensive team commits a penalty so they can play with 6? Theyre doing it since they have nothing to lose on the delayed whistle.
