wired in a fan switch that will be able to hold the current of my 2 fans. Fixed my bov. put a oil temp guage in the dash. Now need to swap out trans fluid. This Lucas fluid makes my trans whine.

Car is all in all running great. Should be ready for tune Friday.

You should probably be using a relay for the fans.

The numbers were crap. Right when the turbo and power were ramping up, the Intern wastegate would bleed off to 10psi. I'm looking into a stronger wastegate now so I can spool to 16.

All in all it was a fun day and my car didnt blow up.

Got the rail grab adaptors for my Yakima junk for the Land Cruiser. Installed them today and got the Christmas tree. I also figured out how to properly install the 3rd row seats - turns out you don't need to beat on them with a hammer.

Even jb Turbos can be tilted up to 20* with no adverse affects per Garrett

Works just fine, thanks for the knowledge drop sumfoo1. Going to acquire a HKS wastegate to handle more boost!

On Saturday I decided to change out the S2000's front brake pads. At almost 58,000 miles 1 of the 4 pads was down to almost the mounting plate. Job was a piece of cake. Next up to do...replace stud on the front passenger wheel hub of the Integra. Done this several times before, no biggie until....

The rotor mounting screws (flush mount) decided to seemingly fuse to the rotor. I can't get these bitches off to save my life. These screws suck to begin with so I started with my impact driver. Screws didn't budge and I broke the head attachment I was using (philips head). Next up I hosed the screws down with PB Blaster then tried using the impact driver again. No luck, just stripped the heads.

Next up...screw extractor and drill. Got the bit on there good and tight, and then discovered (as it started to smoke) that my 12V cordless drill wasn't up to the task (dur).

Today I brought home a corded 120V drill from my office. Again, no luck. The drill is not strong enough. Tomorrow I'm going to bring home a more powerful one and try again. If that doesn't work I'm not sure what other option I have...try to drill out the entire screw?

Does anyone have any advice to offer? This is driving me nuts over here

Impact hammer driver (or whatever, you put a bit in it, hit with a hammer and it backs the fastener out)

Armed myself today with a more powerful drill and a heat gun. If this doesn't work then yes I will drill them out. And no I won't be replacing these screws.

Hell, I should probably remove all of them from the car while I've got this equipment.

use a torch instead of a heat gun.

i had one fight me a while back.. ended up welding a short bolt to it and using a wrench to get it out.

They are like $15 for a cheap one at lowes you don't need any oxy or mixing valves for this.

Changed the oil, removed the 3rd row seats, roof rack cross bars, sunroof and rear window wind deflectors and inflated my tires to 36psi. Hoping for just a little better mileage. I'm also looking for decent AT pizza cutters.

Teg, one last thing, IMHO - I'd leave out those screws.

I cracked a civic rotor one time trying to pull it off with those screws (drive screw in against hub)

pat, i have a torch, welder, drills, etc if you're in raleigh still and need a hand.

but, honestly, i heard that you might not want to put another screw back in there once you get that one out.

run the lug nuts up on the rotor and then try your method. every honda ive worked on has always had the hold screws sieze. always got them off with pb blaster and using the impact driver correctly.

dont choke up on the hammer either. hit it it like it ows you money

drilled out the motherfuckers last night, then got the rotor off only to discover that I can't replace a stud without...removing the hub, with a hydraulic press. FML.

Apparently the last time I did this was on a rear wheel, where the hub has no such obstacles

Now I put liquid gasket on everything around the house

I honestly don't know. The wheel was making a funny noise so I pulled up the jack and was going to remove the wheel when I discovered, upon looking at the wheel, that one of the studs had sheared off. It, and the lug nut, were just gone.

On a related (I guess) note, just 2 days prior to that I had driven the Integra off road for about 3 miles on a rough trail (well, as rough as a lowered Integra can easily traverse )
