I can see where they're coming from. Neuheisel still has a chance to salvage his season and isn't being paid nearly as much as Tedford and Nutt. Money is definitely a factor in this.

until we get nick saban and bill cowher to magically join forces and coach us to a national championship... i'll take literally being 1 game off from playing in the ACC championship game like we were last year, and a real shot at being something special next season as well. we all know the pieces are in place for a pretty entertaining 2012 (glennon/mustafa/amerson/tobias palmer/washington/the d line etc etc). let's not kid ourselves

had we won literally 1 of those last year we indeed would be in the acc championship game no problem, and probably won it! bc we knew we could beat vtech, we showed that. wilson just decided to throw 100 picks in that game and we gave up a shitty kickoff return TD. take your pick, @clemson (lose by 1), @ maryland (lose b/c of a shitty spotted ball)

hopefully though this saturday we can pull it off and get that monkey off our back!

IIRC, a lot of TOB's salary can come from bonuses associated with Bowl wins and ACC placements. I guess he can get much more than his current salary listing. Then again, maybe Duke has a similar plan (though certainly their coach hasn't been cashing in).

To be fair, Smith is just that good. He's NFL caliber as a rookie. Yes, he drops balls occasionally, but he has enough speed to run with Revis Island, so you know he's fast. We probably hadn't played a WR that good all season.

That game epitomized shitty. We went ahead like we did every game last year then let them come back and take a huge lead on big plays. Then, like any other state game, we fought back tooth and nail getting everyone emotionally invested again to lose (partially due to a shitty spot). It had everything minus a career ending injury to russell.

Only a moron would put all the blame for this game on Archer. The defense isn't playing well but scoring 3 points in a half isn't going to beat anyone. The offense has been pathetic since at least the UVA game.
