Lol. Oh. I just call every oversized and slightly (or overly) crazy ring a cocktail ring.

Seriously...I'm slightly obsessed with JewelMint at the moment.

I have 3 more rings on the way

It's such a fun site and mostly everything on there is $29.99. They had a deal that ended on new years where you can get 3 rings for the price of one. I jumped at it. Can't wait to see them in person!

Holler if you want an invite!

Mosdef! Sounds like an awesome site! In other news, I got my belated Christmas present from the hubby. woot woot woot! Sorry for the crappy quality. Cell phone pic.

And I am down for a swap whenever.

Here's the link http://jmnt.me/TpkaBt

Looks as if new members have a bogo deal right now (The code is 1FORYOU)

The only thing you have to remember is it's literally a membership thing. After you make your first purchase, you become a "member". You will get charged $29.99 each month unless you opt out of that month. The charge equals 1 credit which can be used to purchase a piece. Shipping is free too. I shopped around on the site for months before I decided to purchase. And I just opted out of January because I've already bought so much in the past month haha.

Just thought I'd put that disclaimer in so you're not shocked if you do get that charge!

Does anyone do Intimint? I'm intrigued, but would love insight into quality.

Just went nuts at VS semi annual. Bye bye Gilligan O'malley bras.

And I usually don't get pretty lacy stuff...maybe solid colors, but mainly stick to black white & nude. Not this time. I figured mama needs sexy bras now

Nice...I was complaining last night that they always have the sale when rent is due

I'll peruse it in a couple weeks and see what scraps are left lol. I usually just buy undies anyways because they don't sell my size bras in the store.

I could turn them into wine glass charms super easy if you want. Might be a good way to remember all those fun nights and still use them.

I think this was the most organized semi I've been to. Or it's bc I got there not too long after they opened. But I was pleased with their inventory. Undies were good, but I stuck with the usual 5 for $ deal. They had mostly pink panties, and I want my undies sexy not pedo

Erica -

The latest issue of Glamour says it's OK to wear blue and black together (they recommend different textured fabrics) but I can't bring myself to do it. I know some of the old school fashion rules (i.e. white after labor day, brown with black, blue with black) are not followed by some fashionistas and I want to know your professional opinion. Also, if these "rules" are OK to break, how do I deal with fashion anxiety?

Thanks,
Linda

Linda,

I rock blue and black all the time. I love the combo and think it's super chic. I also wear black and brown together. I understand the anxiety though. Start out small with maybe accesories? Then you can go larger with swapping a black top for a blue top ya know?

I feel like you can totes pull this off, but if you EVER decide to wear white shoes after labor day I will most definitely hunt you down and stab you with the heel.

LOVE YOU

~Erica

anyone got that conair spin brush thing? I have long thin hair, and it sounds like it would work for my hair type.

I don't have a blow dryer atm and am contemplating getting something to style hair (I am trying to decide between a fancy hair dryer and this spin brush thing)

I wanted to see if anyone thought the spin brush made their hair shiny or nice, or if someone has a favorite blowdryer, that would be useful info as well.

thanks ladies

^I've been looking into getting the Conair Infinitipro Spin Brush. So I'm really interested to hear what others say!

Big girls and those in the athletic clothing know, sports bras...

I need help. I've been wearing the hell out of the seamless Champion Sports Bras from Target, but I'm at a point where I need something else. Anytime I do anything with a lot of upper body movement or jumping my boobs pop out of the bottom of the bra. Tonight at the gym I wore two sports bras in consecutive sizes to keep things under control, but it isn't ideal for my fitness bootcamp. I'm like a 42D...halp!

If I ever lose weight and feel 100% that I won't have any more children, I'm having these puppies moved down to a B cup.

And before anyone says that if I lose weight, my boobs will shrink. Even when I was thin, I had big boobs.

i, too, need a good recommendation for a blow-dryer...mine is fading fast

also, has anyone ever used one of those curling wands? i have naturally straight, somewhat thick hair and the conditions have to be damn near subarctic (cold and dry) for it to hold any curl and that's using hot rollers. never had much luck with a curling iron and wonder if the wand would be the same or possibly better...

I have room to host a clothing swap, but I'd need a couple weeks to catch up on life and cleaning after everything went to crap. I also have a bunch of fabric to give away! I live in Durham right between RTP and Southpoint so it's a convenient location.

He clipped the sides and I cut the hawk with thinning shears. I call it a mullet hawk. teehee. LOVE!

i have one - the curling wand i feel does the best job when it comes to holding a curl over a curling iron. i can use my curling wand and the wave/curl will last a few days if need be without falling out too much. but you have to be careful. it's easy to grab too small a piece or to hold the hair to the wand for too long and then you end up looking like a poodle

works better than the two-bra system I previously used
