i work 2nd shift at Pharmerica, high volume pharmacy supplier for nursing homes/hospitals. i mostly just process rx's faxed from md's/nurses at these homes so someone in the back can fill them. we have our last big delivery go out at 6pm, then i'm here til the last local shipment at 9pm to enter any emergencies/things that get missed during the day, and i make iv's. its a sweet job, ie today we only have FOUR things going out, out of a usual 40+. but without any pharmacy experience, you wouldnt make much, i've been in the industry for 2 years so they pay me well, plus great benefits/overtime.

but i'm bored.

I got my inbox cleared out 30 minutes into the day, so I killed time by building an abstract structure out of the business cards I never use (I got 1000 when I started here and never have any reason to hand them out). I've gotten to love http://www.2dplay.com, a site full of cheesy flash games that help me kill time. God, please make me win the lottery so I don't have to rot here anymore!

I wouldn't play games and goof off if the work week were only 4 days, or the workday only 4-5 hours. I don't know why they want us here 40 hours, 5 days a week, when I have maybe 4 hours of real work to do per day. Seriously, I haven't done jack shit since I got back from my 1.5 hour lunch.

Thank God my supervisor is on vacation for a week, I can goof off even more. If I could find a shutdown timer program for a Mac, I could make it look like I'm still here at 5:30 while actually slipping out at 5:15.
