I felt this might happen a few weeks back and once they gave Jack a beard I knew something had to be up. We all knew the others plot line would die off soon enough and they had to drive the show in another direction.

I do not think they will get "rescued" until mid to late next season, but it gives a boatload of crap to think about.

good point, but it has to be in the future otherwise they wouldve recognized each other after the crash. i think jack was too drunk to realize his dad was dead....i dont know about kate

But also remember the plane crashed in 2004, so it's still 2004 + a couple of months. No RAZRs back then. When I saw the phone, that's when I figured out it wasn't a flashback (or they had made a pretty big error)

My vote is Locke.

1 - Jack couldn't really consider him a friend after all the falling outs they had. And they aren't family.

2 - Locke would go back to being crippled, Jack would feel guilty.

3 - Locke warned him not to do it and he did it anyway.

didn't Jack make two different references to his father, one at the pharmacy and another in front of the other doctor. That makes me think it wasn't because he was under the influence.
