they are really answering all the important questions. Like we literally learned nothing this episode. They almost revealed that Locke couldn't kill them, but now its ambiguous as one could say Sawyer technically would've killed them. And we don't know for sure if what he said to claire was because it was going to blow up fo realz or if it was because they were going to kill each other like bernard and rose warned them against like 2 season finales ago.

^that saddened me too. and we got very little out of his character. part of me thinks he's still alive and perhaps made it out because he really was almost useless and Lost has done a good job these last few seasons making the characters have some importance.

yea the thing with frank pissed me off too. like wtf, this was the guy that was gonna fly all your asses off the island and you completely forget about him???

at the crying over Sun's and Jin's death. Nobody would shut up last week about what an awful character Sun is (was).

I definitely took Sayid telling Jack that "it's going to be you" to mean that Jack is the candidate. And that Locke is headed over to the beach not to kill them, but to somehow try to get them to kill each other. With Jin and Sun dead now, it's clear that what Jack said is true: that it's not that the MiB can only leave if all the candidates are on board, it's that he can't leave the island until they've all killed each other. They have to start trusting each other.

i counted 3 deaths. hopefully kate will bleed out. and honestly, jin was the only one out of those 3 who was respectable as a character. sun was a lying, selfish harpy, and sayid magically fell in love with shannon overnight despite his attachment to nadia, and he never got over his whole thing about being a torturer. also, i feel like whenever sayid came up with ideas they were generally ill-conceived, but when he had a hunch about something he was usually right.

Regarding Cooper's role tonight, what did he say when he was killed by Sawyer back in season 3 (?). He was in car (?) crash and then the next thing he knew he woke up on the island? Any possibility there could be a timing connection between his vegetative state now and his appearance on the island? It's probably a stretch that would never get an explanation anyway.

And Hurley... I can't really think of a way for him to die unless he sacrifices himself for something. The writers have made him too likeable for his death to be in vein.

Miles is going to get Lapidus'd
Desmond wont survive whatever he's supposed to do with the electromagnetism

no. whatever happened in bizarro world happened a while before the events we're seeing, which are still in 2004. cooper wasn't brought to the island until some time between the 80th and 100th day i think, and that couldn't have coincided with his accident with locke because that day hadn't happened yet in that timeline. hope that makes sense.

i've always liked Jin but i felt he was bein really selfish last night staying with Sun as they both drowned. i mean they have a daughter and he did know about her cause he had just got finished telling her sooner that he had seen the pictures, etc. they both so conveniently forget they have a daughter who will now grow up with no mom and dad; Jin could've saved himself for the sake of his daughter but no of course not. and Sun could've persuaded him to save himself for their daughter's sake. the whole "i will never leave you again" line was cheesy IMO too.

and if i were Jack i woulda knocked Sawyer the fuck out. when he grabbed sawyer and called him "James" for i believe, the 1st time ever, and upon seeing the look in Sawyer's eyes Jack should've done something more to stop him from pulling the wires out. Sawyer in effect killed Sayid, Sun, Jin and Frank (maybe, dunno for sure). it'll be interesting to see how he deals/copes with that when he becomes conscious again.

I didn't really see it as a selfish thing. IMO, I think Jin would be the type to beat himself up forever about Sun dying... Maybe in his eyes, fighting to get her out up until the point where he, too, would drown would show that he fought for Sun til the death - he also knew that their daughter was with the grandmother. Yes it sucks that she will be an orphan, but if you knew that your father died trying to save your mother, wouldn't it put you at ease a little bit? (Granted, I'm going out on a limb there and I don't really know how she would ever even find out that information unless someone made it out alive from the island and went to tell her themselves.)

Also, we don't know which timeline will be the final one... Maybe the parallel universe (that's what I think of it as) will be the "real" timeline in the end and they will be happily together and still have their child.

If Kate hadn't gotten shot, Jack wouldn't have gotten on the sub with them and taken the C4 with him. Once again, dislike for Kate.

On a sidenote, when they were about to attack the sub, why wasn't anyone just like "Hey, Smoke Monster, you are bullet proof and can kill people pretty easily. How about you go out there and check to see if any of Widmore's people are around?" I know Smokey was counting on getting everyone on the sub so I guess he knew Widmore's people would start shooting in hopes of getting Jack on the sub too, but I'd think Sawyer or someone else would have said something to him.

On the topic of Lapidus, I don't see how it is feasible that he could still be alive. That large metal door would have at least stunned him for a few mins. Even if he was able to hold his breath and swim to the surface, swimming from that depth and holding his breath would cause his lungs to burst.
