I am mad at how shitty Chelsea played this week, getting beat twice on counters shouldn't happen to a team with this talent.

Mikel was terrible today and Hilario shows why he was the third keeper for so long.

Thankfully still in front by a point but its going to be a dogfight to capture the title with the holders, especially with Rooney playing out of his mind.

I'm sorry, but having watched Arsenal for a while, it is clear that the strategy for Stoke is to kick Arsenal players. I don't think that has anything to do with the Ramsey incident, for what it's worth. I think it was a horribly reckless challenge, but it was a 50/50 and both guys were flying.

The Ramsey incident aside, however, Stoke has had great success physically abusing Arsenal over the last several years. I remember one match where 3 Arsenal players were injured because of bad tackles, including Shawcross taking out Adebayor.

that challenge didn't look too reckless to me. yes, both guys were going fast, but you said yourself it was a 50/50 ball. shawcross hit ramsey with his freaking plant foot, not even his kicking leg.

i don't think it's a red card challenge if the injury had not been so bad.

It was a bad challenge. Without the leg break it's a hard yellow card offense. The immediate reaction of all the players on the field though makes it tough for the referee not to send off. I don't think there was any malicious intent at all in the play. Just big guy > little guy. Extremely careless challenge. You've really got to feel bad for both players.

Yeah that looks like something I would do. He wasn't dead set on putting that in, leaning back looking to tap it like that. Should have attacked that ball.

Anichebe is terrible and almost gave away a goal. Yakubu, on the other hand, seemingly played very well. He was involved in most of Everton's chances with some great crossing/passes. Everton was clearly missing Saha, who I think is one of the league's most underrated strikers.


I've been telling my brother (a Spurs fan) Gomes is terrible all season. He never fails to make my point for me.
