who said he sucked? thats not the problem. the problem is that he is mediocre instead of good. last year showed how high his ceiling was. See, I'm a fair guy, unlike you guys. I judge a man by what his best is, not his worst like you guys are doing. a 9 win best is not enough for me and statistically this is only a slightly below average year for him. He'll finish right around his average record.

When is the last time you enjoyed watching NC State play football? It's been years for me. We just look like garbage every single week. We can't score and we typically can't stop anyone from scoring.

Sure, 1-2 times each season our defense works and we beat someone. But it's still painful to watch.

Last 3 games, we score 0, 13, and 10. average of 8 points??? Sure glad we moved on from RW b/c obviously he would not have been any kind of difference maker.

In the last 2 seasons, we only had 3 games out of 25 where we scored less than 20 points

I'm done with him. I appreciate his record vs UNC...but there are more games than just UNC. Losing to a 2-7 BC team in a game that you absolutely must have for your Bowl aspirations...you're done.

credibility was gone when we fired amato for going 3-9 and one of those 3 wins was against #15 boston college.

amato wasnt good but at least he kept us with a talented team.

He's really testing this "We don't care if you go 1-10, just beat UNC each year" theory.

In all honesty, you can't fire him because he's 5-0 vs UNC.

If we brought someone in to replace him that lost to UNC the next three years I'd honestly revoke my fanhood. That shit just wouldn't fly.

College football sucks to watch anyway, it's not worth jeopardizing a streak vs UNC just to try to field a competitive team for once.

Our O-line play is what I'm most disappointed in under O'Brien. I thought under Chuck all we really lacked (in order to be fairly competitive in the ACC) was a consistent O-line that could give us a decent run game and give enough time for our mediocre Qbs to make a few plays a game.

I just haven't seen that. I am disappoint.

He will not get another year. 1 year more has no purpose. Cut your losses now and move on to a better coach. That's smart decision making.

Dumb decision making would be riding a stock down because you are foolishly hoping that it will come back. That's what most people do, and that's why most people are bad investors.

The hypothesis that Wilson and Irving were carrying TOB has proven to be true. TOB is just a crappy coach, and he relied on Amato's recruits to make himself look better. His teams are poorly coached, and his in-game decision making is terrible. This is not going to change in 1 year.
