Sam Hurd is probably the only WR out there crazier than Marshall

actually, Sam Hurd is just a retard, Marshall is the most batshit WR in the league

Not encouraging to see, but if there's a silver lining, it's that Cam is seeing he's not "there" yet. He's obviously nowhere near the Rodgers, Brees, Rivers level, and that's gonna eat him up.

Hopefully he busts his ass this offseason, works on his footwork and accuracy, and doesn't get booed at next year's Pro Bowl.

I really don't care at all about this game.

The whole NFC side clearly doesn't give a shit and it includes Cam. I can't really fault them for it since the game doesn't matter. The AFC has stepped it up big time on D and in the running game.

Hurts to say, but it looks like Dalton is dominating Cam Newton so far

The winning players get $25k each. Cam's blowing it for the NFC.

Either the saints linemen don't deserve to be there, or they are letting the defense through because a division rival is back there.

If this game is any indication, Rob Chudzinski is a miracle worker.

If he doesn't play again I'm sure a team somewhere will pay him good money to be a QB coach.

he's too good at what he does (or did) to be a qb coach

it's nearly impossible for people that talented to coach players that aren't as talented/have the same natural ability that they do

Apparently Luck is the 2nd coming of Jesus, so Manning can totally coach him.

^^several great athletes have gone on to be great coaches, and I believe Manning has the right kind of attitude and patience to work with younger QBs.

Lets start a list of second string quarterbacks during Peyton Manning's tenure that have gone on to become average starters in the NFL.

^Because so many of them got significant playing time for another team to want to take a shot...

What would Matt Cassel be right now if Brady hadn't been hurt in 2008?

Exhibit A on why the Giants will win:
NY will be able to slow down Brady's no hurry attack better than any other team has been able to

Its harder for great players to become coaches, because they can't understand why everyone isn't as good as they were. Average players like John Harbaugh and Phil Jackson saw the game differently, and know how to pass that info along.

Bill Russell was also a bigger asshole than John Rocker. He would get torn apart in the Internet era.

Ditka wasn't a transcendent player like Manning is

he was also a former TE coaching the all-time greatest defense

not quite like one of the greatest QB's ever being a QB coach

This is some hardcore goalpost shifting here. You wanted us to name one great athlete that made a good coach.

I think making the hall of fame at a position that receives very little HoF love counts as a great athlete.

while not GREAT like Ditka, still solid answers.

Ditka is the obvious answer here.

the original argument was about Peyton Manning becoming a QB coach

and you have posted nothing addressing this:

Quote :
"Ditka wasn't a transcendent player like Manning is

he was also a former TE coaching the all-time greatest defense

not quite like one of the greatest QB's ever being a QB coach"

the two situations aren't analogous

I can't tell what you're arguing exactly. Why specifically doesn't Ditka work as an example of a great player becoming a great coach?

Yogi Berra, hands down.

Quote :
"Berra was one of only four players to be named the Most Valuable Player of the American League three times and is one of only six managers to lead both American and National League teams to the World Series. As a player, coach, or manager, Berra appeared in 21 World Series. He was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1972."
