better hope that Shula and Chip Kelly piss into the same fountain between now and Sunday

because that's the only way that would happen

Difference being that Vick was actually playing pretty well when he got hurt.

I see jbrick is embracing his role of TWW's Gregg Doyel.

It's been a while, man. How've you been?

Doing well myself. Might head to Charleston soon. I'll be up in your wife like

Seriously what are the odds that out of all the people in Charlotte involved in this wreck, that 1 was the starting QB for the panthers? I know the intersection is the 4th most dangerous in the area and all, but still what a freak accident. Cam has had a rough year from Gettleman tearing apart the WR core, to the ankle issue, the OL being horrendous, the cracked ribs, and now the back injury.

At least he wasn't speeding at the time of the accident though.

Joe Person ?@josephperson 37s38 seconds ago
Cops say Cam Newton was traveling at posted speed limit of 35 mph at pt of impact. Other driver pulled out in front of him.

You know, it's a little thing, but it's somewhat encouraging that they did that as soon as they could. The will he/won't he play stuff with Cam and Hardy leading almost right up to kick off earlier in the season was a bad look for the whole organization. It's nice to know they can learn from their mistakes.

sucks to get down inside the red zone and not get a TD.

but an encouraging first drive with DA nonetheless

we have got to have the worst yardage to TD ratio ever (not sure if thats a stat or not)

it seems like the entire season we just settle for field goals...so frustrating

week 14: Panthers beat Saints, Packers beat Falcons
week 15: Panthers beat Bucs, Steelers beat Falcons, Saints beat Bears
week 16: Panthers beat Browns, Falcons beat Saints
week 17: Panthers beat Falcons, Saints beat Bucs OR Bucs beat Saints

Panthers 7-8-1, NO 7-9 OR 6-10, Atl 6-10

week 14: Panthers beat Saints, Packers beat Falcons
week 15: Panthers beat Bucs, Steelers beat Falcons, Bears beat Saints

People can bitch and moan about J.Stew's contract, and I get that, He's an old man, has been injured a lot recently, the Oline hasn't been doing shit for him, and it is an ass ton of money:

But then he strings together two games back to back like the last two (yes, I realize some of this is on the Oline starting to get better together) and its like "ok, I can live with this." I love watching this man run, its so tough, nearly always positive (even when first contact is in the backfield) and when he is healthy he just keeps chugging all game.

Probably one of my all time favorite Panthers of all time.

yeah i think most of the bitching about the contract is that he's just been hurt so often.

if he plays like this, you can't complain too much

That's kind of the point though, you don't give running backs big guaranteed money because of their shelf life. I got nothing against Stewart, he didn't give himself that terrible contract.

Now what is the scenario?

We gotta win out, but even then we don't control our own destiny.

I have a bad feeling about the final week of the season. GO BUCS! haha

Playoff Scenario:

Updated as of Week 15

week 12: Browns beat Falcons, Ravens beat Saints
week 13: Panthers beat Vikings, Cards beat Falcons, Steelers beat Saints
week 14: Panthers beat Saints, Packers beat Falcons
week 15: Panthers beat Bucs, Steelers beat Falcons, Bears beat Saints
week 16: Panthers beat Browns, Falcons beat Saints
week 17: Panthers beat Falcons, Saints beat Bucs

OR

week 16: Panthers beat Browns, Saints beat Falcons
week 17: Panthers beat Falcons, Bucs beat Saints

win out and have the saints drop 1

or i think if we go 1-1, losing to CLE and beating ATL, and NO loses out we'd be in too.

then we'd be 6-9-1
ATL 6-10
NO 6-10

So if the Saints win this week, we're eliminated even if we win out?

I can't see them losing to the horrible Buccs.

the Saints and Falcons control their own destiny. we do not. we need to win out and have the Saints lose once, or beat the Falcons and have the Saints lose out (unlikely). I haven't done any research on if NO and ATL tie since it's not gonna happen.

The car wreck costume guy above was on the WFNZ morning show today. Apparently he's a long time season ticket holder and wears a different costume every game (primarily to advertise his costume and novelty shop business). He said he was going for the mayhem theme from the Allstate commerials last week - when mayhem strikes you better call Derek Anderson - and didn't intend to insult Cam...

No we wouldn't be mathematically eliminated...but the Saints would have to lose to TB. Which, like you said, is not gonna happen.

Vegas odds are

NO 2/5
ATL 4/1
CAR 9/2

Kinda surprised to see ATL with better odds than Carolina, since it seems like they have the most unlikely path IMO.
