i'm workin on the picks of mine

'89 S-10

4.3L v-6 with 11:1 dome top pistons
ported and polished heads
edelbrock performer intake and matching cam

2" bore throttle body is next on the x-mas list
the other things done to it are on my site http://www4.ncsu.edu/~jtapplin

'96 Cavalier

haven't had time to do anything other than run the wiring for the amps yet, but soon... soon it will be a sleeper, kinda like the '56 primered, rusted out, and heavily dented chevy that kicks everyone's unsuspecting asses on test and tune night at the drag way. although not quite as glorious as that unfortunately, it only has a 2.2L four banger.

that "~300wHP" is after the supercharger right?

I would imagine it would have to be. I don't think they put even 200 to the wheels in stock form.

"~300whp"

^^^^That Jet computer claims something like a 28whp increase with an air filter and a thermostat on a chevy 350. I have my doubts about this claim being real, but even so he wouldn't be near 300whp. So yeah, he's got to be talking about after the supercharger.

Okay, yeah, there's no question. The 3800 in the LS makes 200 hp in stock form, and that's not to the wheels. Assuming that might reduce to, what, 170 whp? That's going to take some doing...the SS (same engine, factory supercharged) is listed at 240 hp. A gain of ~130 whp on a stock bottom end would impress me.

actually if it's tuned right I wouldn't be surprised to see 300wHP with a supercharger, since it's a decently-sized engine.... main thing would be tons of fuel to avoid detonating (I wouldn't imagine the engine would be too detonation resistant under boost)

This is Insight Technologies research platform. Insight tech. is a little company a few state students, including myself, got together in order to compete in the DARPA Grand Challenge which is an autonomous vehicle race from LA to Las Vegas. Check out the website http://www.insightracing.org
And yes it will drive by itself.

I live 15 minutes from Anaheim and and hour from LA. I go out to Fontana every few weeks for the car shows. Lemme know if your team needs any help with anything out here. This challenge looks cool as hell.

Barstow is a giant party town 24/7. j/k I got a coworker who is from Barstow though.

Honestly if you need help with any information out here, just PM me. I got a few connections with some people who might be able to help with accomodations or equipment. Plus I make the drive out to Vegas (through Barstow) every few months so I know the terrain pretty well

btw most of those have enough horsepower to fuck with 99 percent of you
unknown is who i cannot fuck with, but he's cool and i'd hate to see anyone with such power have a different "online" personality.
And before you start hating, all those cars will be mine at some point...
except if i decide not to pay the rest of the fucking 90g's on the SL if it comes down to it.

I win.

and enough weight to almost negate that power advantage. and the only car that is actually yours would get PWNT by quite a few cars on here, corners AND straights.
