I had a discussion about KNC with a coworker yesterday. He's in his late 30s and just found out about the station this year. He said it's good music to put on at work because it's all obscure stuff that makes good background music.

I explained to him that in years past it was a lot of speed metal and really heavy stuff. I guess I was kind of sad that what used to be a great station that played a lot of edgy and harder music has now turned into a station that provides good background music...

also, its kinda stupid to say knc doesnt play edgy music. I played Black Eyes, Deerhoof, High on Fire, Mastodon, Proof, and We vs. the Shark the other day just to name a few.
