I got mine done by Pete, 20% on mine too. I had to get an inspection last week and had no issues, you just need to know how to talk to people.

nightime is great, much better than I though it would be since it looks so dark during the day. my only gripe is the very slight refraction where the film goes over the rear defroster grid. its definitely a minor issue.

mine does that too. i doesn't do it if they take their time and cut the tint into strips as to avoid the thr defroster strips. when done and the curve of the window accounted for, it's clean.

i thought they reduced cooling?

did you ever get that low coolant light fixed? i worked on a '00 today with the same problem that ended up being the harness going to the level sensor rubbing on the frame near the ac line.

yeah I broke one of the retaining tabs when i pulled it out of the radiator to clean the gunk of off it (i think its some kind of optical sensor) and decided to replace it. the part was 50 or 60 bucks and it hasnt come on since.

dave yeah man that was me. i was coming from the carwash over there by the RR tracks on millbrook trying to get the water off. of course later in the day at the gas station i left my drink cup on the roof and drove off and now the car is dirty again. you should have come down to the shop man its on departure just before it ends at oak forest.

OK

finally got my fuel filter on, although upon inspection the old one does not appear dirty at all. oh well

did my transmission serivce, BG style. old shit came out FILTHY. will replace filter when I determine if there are any leaks in the transmission cooler lines.

also, the wheel/tire saga is almost over. just need an peace of mind alignment and some new centercaps.

all 4 NEW wheels shipped from transwheel: $200
return shipment of defect (paint) wheels: $50
refund from transwheel: $200 (recieved another new set)
all 4 new tires shipped from paulie's tire: $610 (normally $800+)
all 4 brake dust shields from some random ebay guy: $26 (everywhere else these are $20/pair)
mounting and static balancing (sat. night at 8:30pm): $23 (normally $36+)
bolting them on myself, not putting a scratch on them, and not LEAVING THE LUGNUTS LOOSE: freebie. and priceless too.

total project thus far: $709
Not too bad for all new shit and fancy tyres. Add maybe $60 for new centercaps and $50 for alignment and thats about $820. These tires alone retail for that much.

so how accurate was my photochop?

photobucket is slow

next up will be
alignment
new centercaps
get tint problem fixed
clean oil level sensor, change oil (im over 3k on my mobil 1 oh no)
compressor seal, charge AC
front pads/rotors
O2 sensors

then who knows. maybe new struts. wonder how much getting the leather redone will be. only the fronts really need it. still needs some dings fixed and a good clear coat polish. or hell just a paint job. im thinking redo the black base and then spray candy blue over that so it would be real hard to see until the sun comes out.
