But, 2001: A Space Odyssey I rented because I liked Full Metal Jacket, and A Clockwork Orange, and Dr. Strangelove so much and I think this one sucked badly. I know I just didn't "get it" but I thought this was the worst movie ever made.

I like Tommy Boy well enough. I really like Dirty Work. I think Moulin Rouge is inoffensive, but still pretty bad. But The 5th Element is my gold standard for bad/stupid movies. Meaning that everytime a movie makes my eyes and ears bleed from sheer stupidity, I ask myself:

"Ben, was this not as bad, just as bad, or worse than The 5th Element?"

Off the top of my head, I can't remember anything getting the "worse than" label. Just a bunch of pretty tricks(not really, but people seem to like them well enough) and star power to cover for a hokey script and piss poor acting.
