i didnt like season 2 at first, but it really grew on me. i thought the plots were more complex, and i liked how they eventually linked the Barksdale subplots with the dock subplots. 2 groups of people that didnt know each other, but were directly effected by each others decisions.

imo, it took the series to another level because it wasn't just focussed on one aspect of baltimore anymore...and they built on that every season. i kinda wish they would show what has happened with the Sobotkas now...the only thing they really have showed in relation to that season is beadie being with mcnulty.

man I love this show. I can wait to see how they are going to edit these for HBO.

There are 13 episodes this season, but HBO is editing EP 9 and 10 into one episode to keep it to the regular 12 episode season.

I also find it awesome that they manage to replace like 2/3 of the cast every season and yet not lose the story or the original cast members at all. Seriously amazing writing and production going on here

So far this season, I've been disappointed that McNulty, Bunk, Lester, Daniels, & Bodie are all pretty much non-existent.

Marlo's crew and all the politicians are starting to grow on me though.
