i find this thread very amusing... 75% you guys, no wait 95% of you guys have no clue what you are talking about and if you were asked to sit down and debate a bunch of topics concerning b-ball on how to play/coach the game based on players and offenseive/defensive schemes, you would be absolutely clueless


and i find it funny as hell most of you come into this thread and act like you know what you are talking about or even can comment in here.... out of 4 pages of posts maybe just maybe 30-40 of them offer any credability and that is being generous

Ok, that was harsh but had to ask. First I was addressing the issue of hype, or lack of. Then you brought the subject of football into this thread. Now me, I think Amato & football is another subject for another day. But you made a remark towards football so I rebutted. Then after your weak defense of your initial remark, you end by saying, well let's not talk about football. Fine by me.

In a nutshell, what I said about Amato is this:
-national exposure, good recruits, nfl players (HYPE)
-BUT NO significant success on field
-reached out to fans; felt fans ire and responding accordingly and appropriately

Did you even read my post? I bet most people on here worry more about responding quickly rather than reading thoroughly. Advice to the morons (anyone): If you say things correctly the first time you won't have to keep repeating yourself. And also, read entire posts so context will be understood.

^first off, I suggest you go back and take a composition class and relearn how to organize your ideas into coherent, easy-to-understand paragraphs.

secondly, i was just calling out what i saw as a misnomer. you said that "football was looking great and basketball is in shambles" or something similar to that. this is a pretty dubious statement, considering that the basketball team is hardly in shambles. the comparison was made before i posted, so dont call me out like that unless you know what the fuck youre talking about.

someone said "lets see about fb" and you responded with:

go read up on valvano's records. sendek's acc finishes and records are only a game or two different in most seasons.

You're right Waluigi. I agree glory days were Case and Sloan. Case (hired from high school) brought bigtime bball to the South. Six consecutive Southern Conf titles and followed up with 4 straight ACC right here in "the house he built". Sloan ran the tables.

not only are we 8-35 against carolina and duke (not sure if that is exactlyl right) under Herb Sendek. We are 72-88 in the ACC under him. That i believe is not acceptable for tobacco road basketball. but this is only my third post on here so my opinion might not matter

that 72-88 record is his 10 year overall record agains ACC opponents. if you were to compare that too the past 5 years or so, it would tell a different story. i wonder how everyone would have felt about him if he had won one of those 3 ACC tournament final games. i was almost certain we were going to win that one against Duke in 2003, but all of our best players were in foul trouble, and couldn't play the type of D that they played throughout the rest of the game. that was one of the most heartbreaking losses ever.

Point being that that overall ACC record doesn't accurately relfect where our program is right now.

Only way we do good in Herb's first 3/4 years here is if we have Lebron James playing for us with John Wooden as our coach.

^And yeah...we got Reddicked in that game. I also want to say they called 2 BULLSHIT fouls on Clifford Crawford, who was doing a pretty good job against Reddick in that game. Cliff goes out, and Reddick goes off (even more than he already had been).
